Jussie Fixer Tina Tchen’s Group Offers ‘Media and Storytelling Assistance’ For Sex Harassment Accusers
Jussie Smollett’s hate hoax charges were dismissed in return for 16 hours of community service with Jesse Jackson’s Rainbow PUSH Coalition, thanks to former Michelle Obama chief of staff Tina Tchen’s text messages on Smollett’s behalf to Cook County prosecutor Kim Foxx. Smollett famously staged a fake hate crime against himself by fictional President Trump supporters.
Tchen is the founder of the Times Up Legal Defense Fund, which operates under the umbrella of the National Women’s Law Center. Tchen spoke alongside Jussie Smollett’s sister Jurnee at a 2018 event where Tchen bragged that the group raised $21 million in its first 100 days. The Times Up Legal Defense Fund’s “Outreach Grant” recipients include DC Jobs With Justice, Latino Community Fund, UNITE Here Local 8, and other progressive groups.
The Times Up Legal Defense Fund offers “Media and Storytelling” assistance for sexual harassment accusers, according to promotional appeals that the group makes on its website and social media.
The Times Up Legal Defense Fund states:
The TIME’S UP Legal Defense Fund helps survivors of sexual harassment at work or in their careers share their stories.
If you have experienced sexual harassment at work or in your career, or if you are retaliated against for complaining about sexual harassment at work or in your career, the TIME’S UP Legal Defense Fund may be able to help you tell your story publicly…
- SKDKnickerbocker (SKDK), public relations firm that works with the Fund, will email you to set up an evaluation over the phone.
- You must have an attorney to complete the evaluation and qualify for assistance.
- If the TIME’S UP Legal Defense Fund is able to offer you media assistance, SKDK will match you with a public relations firm in our Network.
- This firm can support you for free for one month.
- Support can include:
- Pitching your story to journalists.
- Drafting documents to share with the press.
- Working to keep your name out of the press.”

SKDKnickerbocker has represented Barack Obama and employed members of his administration, including Hilary Rosen.

Michelle Obama’s former chief of staff Tina Tchen, who intervened on Jussie Smollett’s behalf with Cook County prosecutor Kim Foxx, spoke side-by-side with Jussie Smollett’s sister Jurnee at the May 5, 2018 United State of Women Summit in Los Angeles, California.
Tchen is the founder of the Time’s Up Legal Defense Fund, which she promoted with Smollett’s sister, bragging that the group raised about $21 million in 100 days.
Disgraced hate-crime hoaxer Jussie Smollett has longstanding ties to the Obamas.
Cook County state’s attorney Kim Foxx is pulling a favor for the Obamas by getting their “close friend” Jussie Smollett off with no charges. George Soros’ money largely helped put Foxx in office.
“If Fox wants to be D.A. or go any further, she’s going to have to kiss the Obamas’ ass,” our source in Chicago politics tells BLP.
The Chicago Sun-Times confirmed it: “Foxx’s call to Johnson came after an influential supporter of the “Empire” actor reached out to Foxx personally: Tina Tchen, a Chicago attorney and former chief of staff for former First Lady Michelle Obama, according to emails and text messages provided by Foxx to the Chicago Sun-Times in response to a public records request.
Tchen passed Foxx’s number to a relative of the actor, and the ensuing conversations with the family member were cited by Foxx last month as the reason she recused herself from Smollett’s prosecution as the actor faces disorderly conduct charges for allegedly making a false police report.
Text messages show Tchen contacted Foxx on Feb. 1, three days after Smollett said he was jumped by two men as he walked home from a sandwich shop near his Streeterville home. Tchen texted Foxx to set up an early morning phone call.
“I wanted to give you a call on behalf of Jussie Smollett and family who I know. They have concerns about the investigation,” Tchen wrote in a text sent before 5 a.m., seeking to set up a call with Foxx before Tchen left on an 8 a.m. flight to New York.
A few hours later, Foxx received a text from a relative of Smollett, who said she’d received the number from Tchen.”
Chicago Sun-Times passage ends
Former Michelle Obama chief of staff Tina Tchen has now been exposed as the person who intervened with Cook County state’s attorney Kim Foxx to convince the judge to drop charges against hate hoaxer Jussie Smollett, a close friend of the Obama family.
Here is Jurnee Smollett Bell’s Instagram post as Barack Obama was leaving office in January 2017:
“Feeling a lot of emotions. I remember meeting then Senator @barackobama 9 years ago. I’d been invited to introduce him in Nevada during the primaries. He was the underdog, the odds were stacked against him. Said he was too young, too black, too different…he was an other. I’ve always been an other so I saw myself in him. My own relative told me I was wasting my time, going state to state, knocking on doors for this guy with the funny name. I can’t tell you how many people hung the phone up on my sister @jazzsmollettwarwell and me as we clocked in our hours, phone banking. Working as if this was a full time job, I worked for free, because this work was food for my soul. They whispered that you couldn’t do it. That we couldn’t do it. And then tried to block you even when we proved them wrong. TWICE. You will go down as the greatest president who did the most with the least help from his “congressional leaders”. So I thank you for being you. Unapologetically. Your very existence demanded that I take the limits off my own. Before you, I lived in a world of boundaries and limits. You were audacious enough to dream big, and demanded we dream even bigger. So thank you for all you’ve given us. We will keep dreaming, keeping fighting, keep knocking on doors, keep traveling and spreading the gospel truth. Because it never was about you, it was about us, the “others”. Yes we can. Yeswe did. Yes we will.#powertothepeople ✊???? #ThanksObama #tbt #mypresident
And here is Jussie Smollett with Obama:
Democrat presidential candidate Kamala Harris is a “mentor” to Kim Foxx, according to the Cook County prosecutor herself.
I’m so excited that @KamalaHarris has decided to run for president. I would not be where I am today without her guidance during my first run for political office, and she has continued to mentor me as I work to reform the criminal justice system in Cook County. —KF pic.twitter.com/O241FGKKMs
