POLL: Americans Still Believe Immigration Is The Most Important Issue Heading Into the 2024 Presidential Election

According to a Gallup poll, 27% of American voters indicated that immigration is the United States’ most important political issue. This was the most important political issue for the voters polled followed by the government, economy, and inflation.

This is the third straight month that immigration has been labeled as the leading issue among Americans. This is the first time this development has occurred in 24 years.

Close to 50% of Republican voters and 25% swing voters labeled immigration as their leading concern ahead of the 2024 presidential election. By contrast, 8% of Democrat voters held the same view.

Since President Joe Biden was installed in office towards the end of January 2021, Border Patrol agents have encountered eight million migrants that have been encountered along the US’s southern border with Mexico. This is the highest level of illegal immigration that was recorded in American history.

In a similar vein, during the same timeframe, nearly two million known got-aways are believed to have successfully crossed the southern border into the US.

Currently, close to 1.2 million foreign nationals qualify for Temporary Protected Status (TPS) — a form of amnesty that allows immigrant invaders without any immigration status to stay in the US due to humanitarian or environmental issues allegedly taking place in their countries of origin.

Immigration remains the critical political issue of our time. If politicians don’t get this question right i.e. by restricting immigration, we can kiss the America we love and know goodbye. Immigration patriots need to continue making a major stink about this issue heading into the elections.

Letting up the pressure is simply unacceptable at this point.
