15.5 Million Illegal Aliens in the United States are Costing Taxpayers $150 Billion Annually
According to analysis by the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR), the over 15.5 million illegal aliens residing in the United States today are costing American taxpayers north of $150 billion annually.
This report estimates that taxpayers pay around $182 million in yearly costs for illegal aliens at all levels of government — federal, state, and local. FAIR reported that illegal aliens contributed $32 billion to the economy, which makes the annual net cost of illegal aliens residing in the US over $150 billion.
John Binder of Breitbart News put some perspective to these figures: Put another way, illegal aliens and their U.S.-born children are costing each taxpayer nearly $1,200 every year.
Over the last few years, the cost of illegal immigration has surged significantly since 2017, when the annual cost was roughly around $116 billion. In a similar vein, over the past year, the cost has climbed upward by $7 billion.
“… in just 5 years, the cost of illegal immigration has increased by nearly $35 billion,” the FAIR analysis highlighted. ” This rapid increase is a consequence of the ongoing border crisis and a lack of effective immigration enforcement.”
The costs of mass migration are both economic and social. Increased migration will eventually lead to the collapse of the US’s welfare state and facilitate the complete demographic displacement of the Historic American Nation.
To prevent this nightmare from actually materializing, immigration — illegal and legal — must be restricted. This is the political battle of our lifetime.
