19 of 22 MS-13 Gang Members Indicted for National Forest Rampage Are Illegal Aliens

This is who the Democratic Party is protecting with their open border radicalism.

Yesterday, it was announced that 22 alleged members of the infamous MS-13 gang were apprehended and indicted by law enforcement after being charged with a string of brutal murders and other criminal actions, including a gruesome display at the Angeles National Forest where several people were hacked to death.

The U.S. attorney’s office announced that 19 of the 22 individuals named in the indictment came to the country illegally from Honduras and El Salvador, two of the countries commonly linked to the Soros-funded migrant caravans that have contributed greatly to the ongoing border crisis. They arrived within the last four years.

“These gang members sought out young victims in their teens and early 20s who were new to this country. Many had recently immigrated from El Salvador and Honduras. They were alone, looking to fit in with others from native countries,” Los Angeles County Dist. Atty. Jackie Lacey said.

“But instead, they met their demise quickly at the hands of gang members who preyed upon them,” she added.

Perhaps the worst victims of this illegal alien crime spree were four individuals murdered with machetes, baseball bats and knifes in the Angeles National Forest. Paul Delacourt, who works as assistant director in the FBI’s Los Angeles field office, claims the extreme violence was deployed by the gang “to exert their dominance in Los Angeles as opposed to maintaining allegiance to the Mexican Mafia.”

The LA Metropolitan Task Force on Violent Gangs, which is a coalition consisting of members of the FBI, LAPD, and the LA County Sheriff’s Department, conducted the investigation against the MS-13 thugs, which resulted in a Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) case that was unsealed to the public on Monday.

“We have now taken off the streets nearly two dozen people associated with the most violent arm of MS-13 in Los Angeles, where the gang is believed to have killed 24 people over the past two years,” said United States Attorney Nick Hanna.

“This investigation has been an unqualified success. The collaborative law enforcement effort solved several murder cases and dealt a severe blow to members of the gang who engaged in acts of brutality not seen in the region for over 20 years,” he added.

In addition to the murder charges, the gang members are also accused of conspiracy and drug-trafficking.

“These are newer entrants, so they’re making their bones with the gang, it’s just how it is. They want to make a name for themselves, and those are the people who are generally the most violent members of street gangs,” said Claude Arnold, who used to operate the LA field office for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

The suspected criminals listed in the indictment include: German Hernandez, Angel Guzman, Ever Morales, Fernando Parada, Jose Baquiax Alvarez, Kevin Gomez, Kevin Arteaga, Edgar Velasquez, Walter Chavez Larin, Yefri Revelo, Wilfredo Vides, Gerardo Alvarado, Roberto Carlos Mendez Cruz, Bryan Alberto Ordones, Roberto Alejandro Corado Ortiz, Edwin Issac Mendez, Josue Balmore Flores Castro, Luis Arturo Gonzalez, Edwin Martinez, Steven Emmanuel Linares, Marco Antonio Ramos, and Erick Eduardo Rosales Arias.

When the open border radicals of the Democratic Party demonize ICE and border patrol, they are often helping violent gangs of illegal immigrants escape justice.

Federal Court Rules Trump Administration Can Withhold Grant Funding From Sanctuary Cities

If they won’t follow the law, they’re not getting DOJ funding.

In the latest in a round of policy victories for the Trump administration on immigration, a federal appeals court has ruled that the Department of Justice can block sanctuary cities from receiving federal grants on account of their failure to comply with federal immigration law.

Former Attorney Jeff Sessions announced the initiative in 2017, that restricts sanctuary cities and states such as San Francisco and Philadelphia from federal grants. The liberal local governments will be prevented from receiving funding from the Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant Program.

Predictably, liberal state and local governments turned to the court system with hopes of coercing the federal government to fund their law enforcement agencies, even as they openly refused cooperation with ICE, releasing dangerous criminal illegals onto the streets in spite of ICE requests that they instead be placed into federal custody.

After an initial victory for the sanctuary states and cities in a lower district court, the 2nd Circuit Court of Appeals ruled Wednesday that the Department of Justice does have the authority to deny federal grant funding to scofflaw cities and municipalities.

The ruling allows the DOJ to withhold grant funding not only from cities, but states that flout federal immigration law, as well. Sessions’ funding block to sanctuary entities includes six states: Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Rhode Island, Virginia and Washington.

Cities that flout immigration law and cooperation with ICE won’t simply be left to their own devices, as well, even as they lose federal funding. ICE is buffing up their presence in some of America’s most flagrant sanctuary cities, bringing in an elite team of Customs and Border Patrol personnel to assist in the arrests of dangerous illegal alien criminals.
