21 Migrant Sex Offenders Were Caught in Texas Border Sector Over Course of 7 Weeks

According to a Breitbart News report, Del Rio Sector Border Patrol agents arrested 21 migrants who were previously convicted for sex offenses. A large portion of the offenses included sex crimes committed against children.
Del Rio Sector Acting Chief Patrol Agent Juan Bernal unveiled the mugshots of 21 criminal aliens arrested since October 1 with criminal backgrounds with sex-related offenses. The sex criminals were arrested after they illegally crossed the border between ports of entry. Bob Price of Breitbart News noted that “All migrants arrested undergo a biometric background check designed to stop these types of criminals from re-entering the United States.”
“Due to the hard work and dedication of our agents, these dangerous individuals were not able to enter our country,” Chief Bernal said.
On November 18, Chief Bernal reported on the arrest of a man who was part of a larger group encountered close to Brackettville, Texas. The man was previously convicted for sexual activity with a child under the age of 11, the chief noted.
In a separate post, Bernal reported on the arrest of a Mexican national who was previously convicted for Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child.
Some of the arrests consisted of criminal aliens convicted for indecency with a child, 1st degree rape of a minor, illegal sexual contact with a minor, and sexual exposure to a child.
In FY23, which came to an end on September 30, Border Patrol agents had interacted with 15,267 migrants who had a criminal rap sheet. This represents a significant increase from 12,028 in FY22.
Price continued putting some of these migrant encounter figures in perspective:
In FY2020, President Donald Trump’s last full year in office, agents encountered only 2,438 migrants with criminal convictions.
Border Patrol encounters during the past two years (27,295) exceeds the total of the Trump-era FY17-20 (21,936) by more than 24 percent, according to reports from U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
In October, agents encountered another 1,559 criminal aliens.
While the Trump administration had its flaws, the Biden regime makes it look quite sharp.
Given the current political realities of the US, Trump is the only viable option for those of us who desire robust border security and an immigration system that protects Middle American interests.
