Actor Rips Chuck Schumer Apart: ‘You’re Lying to the American People’

In a passionate video posted to Twitter, actor Robert Davi tears Senator Chuck Schumer apart and accuses him of lying to the American people about the escalating crisis at the U.S.-Mexican border.
The American actor, most famous for his rolls in The Goonies, Die Hard, and License to Kill, posted the impassioned video to Twitter on January 9.

“My dear Mr. Schumer, I find what you’re doing is absolutely disingenuous,” Davi began, “You’re lying to the American people. How many times are you going to continue to sit there like a rotten corpse with a bold faced lie on your face? I saw you, sir, vote for the wall, you voted for a wall, sir, several years ago.”
Davi refers to the infamous 2013 “Gang of Eight” bill, which would have provided 700 miles of border fencing in exchange for a form of amnesty for illegal immigrants. All Senate Democrats, including Schumer, voted unanimously for this legislation.
“The American people don’t remember that?” Davi continued, “How come the networks aren’t showing your flip flopping? Show that, CNN, MSNBC. Show Schumer wanting a wall and now saying it’s unAmerican, it’s immoral.”
Davi continued his recording, demolishing the mainstream media as well as the Democrat leadership in Congress, accusing them of seeking to “gerrymander” the population, and coming from a “Marxist, socialist society and background.”
“What the hell is going on in this nation? People, wake up. See through their nonsense and through the media industrial complex.”
Davi joins a growing list of celebrities who have become unafraid to share their conservative views, including actor James Woods, who lost his “liberal agent” after becoming a vocal supporter of President Donald Trump on Twitter, and comedian Rob Schneider, who has become a vocal critical of political correctness, calling it “fascism with manners.”

Virginia School District Stops Celebrating Dr. Seuss on Read Across America Day Because of the “Racial Undertones” in His Books
It’s all so tiresome.

The Loudoun County School District in northern Virginia has stopped celebrating Dr. Seuss during Read Across America Day because of the “strong racial undertones” in some of his books.
“Research in recent years has revealed strong racial undertones in many books written/illustrated by Dr. Seuss. Examples include anti-Japanese American political cartoons and cartoons depicting African Americans for sale captioned with offensive language,” the district wrote in a statement.
“Given this research, and LCPS’ focus on equity and culturally responsive instruction, LCPS provided this guidance to schools during the past couple of years to not connect Read Across America Day exclusively with Dr. Seuss’ birthday. Dr. Seuss and his books are no longer the emphasis of ‘Read Across America Day’ in Loudoun County Public Schools,” the statement added.
To be clear, this does not mean that Loudoun County School District is outright banning Dr. Seuss’ books. They are still available for children to read in their libraries and classrooms.
Read Across America Day is celebrated every year on March 2, the day of Dr. Seuss’ birthday, and many schools across the country celebrate National Reading Month every March.
The National Education Association, which created National Reading Month and Read Across America Day, started to distance themselves from explicit promotion of Dr. Seuss in 2017 and now promotes non-white authors who write books about “racial justice,” “inclusivity,” and so on.
Dr. Seuss, whose real name was Theodor Seuss Geisel, worked as a political cartoonist in addition to illustrating and writing children’s books. Interestingly enough, Geisel was a passionate supporter of FDR and a lifelong liberal Democrat.
