Alec Baldwin Appears Rattled As He Gives Bizarre Roadside Press Conference As Shooting Investigation Continues

Actor Alec Baldwin appeared rattled in his first public confrontation with the press since Baldwin killed a person on the set of the movie “Rust,” which he was producing. A weapon discharged while in Baldwin’s hand, reportedly during a rehearsal, killing cinematographer Halyna Hutchins and wounding director Joel Souza. Though some have reported it was a prop gun, TMZ has reported that the weapon was allegedly being used for target practice by members of the crew. Did Alec Baldwin fire upon Halyna Hutchins and Souza? Did he check the cartridge prior to using the weapon? It turns out that union crew members walked off the set prior to the shooting, enraged about a lack of safety precautions and other labor issues. What truly happened on the set of “Rust” when Baldwin killed Hutchins? Authorities say the investigation is ongoing and criminal charges have not been ruled out for Baldwin, or for anyone.

Baldwin, agitated, told reporters on the side of the road in Vermont that he is not allowed to comment on the incident, but claimed that Hutchins was his friend and that he is supposedly talking to the police every day. A reporter asked Baldwin if the authorities know where he is, and Baldwin bristled. If Baldwin’s erratic behavior in these clips is any indicator, the worldwide scrutiny on his killing of Hutchins is wearing on him. Be safe out there. Alec Baldwin is on the loose.

As for the “Rust” armorer Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, a spokesperson said on her behalf: “Hannah was hired on two positions on this film, which made it extremely difficult to focus on her job as an armorer” and noted, “She fought for training, days to maintain weapons and proper time to prepare for gunfire but ultimately was overruled by production and her department.”
