Amazon Removes Floor Mats That Offended Muslims After CAIR Complained

Amazon has issued an apology to the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), a designated Islamic terrorist organization, after the self described “Muslim civil rights” group complained on Thursday to the online retailer about the sale of bathroom and outdoor floor mats that had verses from the Koran written in calligraphy on them.
Within a few days, Amazon caved to CAIR’s requests and removed the mats from their website.
In a statement, CAIR said that they received “complaints about the items, which are offensive to Muslims because the Quranic verses would be stepped on or otherwise disrespected by customers.”
It is worth noting that the products CAIR claimed were offensive were being sold by resellers who are independent agents of Amazon. In other words, CAIR is working to drive independent retailers who sell products Muslims may find offensive out of business, in America.
Since when did the feelings of a UAE-designated Islamic terrorist organization trump the First Amendment rights of Americans?
After finding other items being sold on Amazon that CAIR found offensive, including a toilet seat with a picture of a Koran on it, as well as a towel with a Koran on it, CAIR filed additional complaints to have the items removed.
This is the very definition of fascism. CAIR is now bullying large corporations into removing products simply because they offend Muslims.
Not only did Amazon remove the products, but they also threatened to shut down the accounts of anyone who offends Islam.
Is Amazon also going to remove products that offend Christians and Jews? No. The answer is no.
If you log on Amazon today, you can still buy an ISIS flag, Nazi memorabilia and shirts and hats that say “Fuck Trump“.
Omar Ahmad is the founder of CAIR. He once said,
“Islam isn’t in America to be equal to any other faith, but to become dominant. The Koran, the Muslim book of scripture, should be the highest authority in America, and Islam the only accepted religion on Earth.”
Who gets to decide what is and isn’t offensive on the Internet? Only Muslims?
Following Amazon’s removal of the items, Masih Fouladi, executive director of CAIR’s Washington state chapter, said, “We thank Amazon for its swift action on this issue and hope it sends a message to manufacturers of such inappropriate and offensive items that they will not profit from Islamophobia or any other form of bigotry.”
Amazon headquarters is in Seattle, Washington.
For some odd reason, CAIR seems to be under the impression that Muslims deserve special treatment in America. Despite evidence that the prophet Mohammed was a pedophile who married a 6 year old and encouraged his followers to kill Jews and Christians, officials at CAIR are still hell bent on force feeding Islam down the throats of Americans, and corporations are too quick to give in at the sound of accusations of “Islamophobia”.
Interestingly, nobody ever calls for CAIR to be expelled from the Internet.
CAIR, the Council on American Islamic Relations, is listed as a designated terrorist organization by the United Arab Emirates and has well-documented reported ties to Hamas. Hamas has been classified as a designated terrorist organization by the U.S. State Department. CAIR is listed as an unindicted co-conspirator in the Holy Land Foundation HAMAS terror funding trial in 2008, which is the largest terrorism financing case in U.S. history.
When will the people peacefully rise up and say enough is enough?
Instead of working to Islamify the internet, Amazon ought to show a few copies of the US Constitution to CAIR to enforce the point that here in America, we don’t practice Sharia Law. In America, the First Amendment trumps Islamic blasphemy laws.
