Americans Don’t Care for Companies Going Woke

Americans don’t really care for companies’ decisions to go woke and promote political causes. Instead, they want companies to focus on what they’re supposed to best — providing quality goods and services.

According to a Rasmussen poll, 87% of American adults believe the quality of a company’s products and services is what primarily spurs consumers’ decisions, with 70% who believe it’s very important.

58% of American adults believe it’s important that a company share their social and political views, which includes only 28% who believe it’s very important.

69% believe it’s more important for companies to concentrate on providing quality goods and services, whereas 13% indicated that increasing profit margins is more important. Only 9% signaled that it’s more important for companies to concentrate on advocating for causes such as diversity and environmentalism.

73% of Democrats, 66% of Republicans, and 69% of independents believe the quality of a company’s goods and services is a very important factor in how they make their consumption decisions.

In a similar token, 75% of Republicans, 62% of Democrats, and 71% of independents said that it’s more important for companies to concentrate on providing quality goods and services. Even among Democrats, just 15% believe it’s more important for companies to advocate for causes such as diversity and environmentalism.

58% of whites, 71% of blacks, and 48% of other non-black minorities believe that it’s at least somewhat important that companies share their social and political outlooks. 72% of whites, 65% of blacks, and 66% of other non-black minorities indicated that it is more important for companies to concentrate on providing quality goods and services.

Americans who make over $200,000 are the most likely to believe it’s more important for companies to advocate for causes such as diversity and environmentalism. This makes sense given the upper middle class’s drift towards wokism in recent decades.

Indeed, companies need to focus on what they supposedly do best — provide quality goods and services. However, the Right cannot afford to be passive in this instance. It must start infiltrating these institutions and moving up the ranks to keep leadership positions from falling under cultural leftist control. On top of that, right-wingers must be prepared to use state power to bring woke corporations to heel when they act out of line.

Just because an institution is private does not mean that it should be coddled or given a pass for its bad behavior.
