Anti-Semitic Muslim Democrats Praise Justin Amash Following His Call to Impeach Trump
Rep. Justin Amash (R-MI), the Congressman who is leading the charge to impeach President Donald Trump, is receiving support from Islamic Reps. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) and Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) in his efforts to depose the President.
Tlaib was the first to praise Amash in a series of effusive tweets, expressing her desire to work with the Congressman to bring down the President.
You are putting country first, and that is to be commended. We both took an oath to uphold the U.S. Constitution. Please let me know if you are interested signing on to the resolution to begin the investigation into impeachment. https://t.co/f5CT3uB81d

100% in agreement. #TimetoImpeach https://t.co/5nJq6uZjOz

.@justinamash come find me in 1628 Longworth. I’ve got an impeachment investigation resolution you’re going to want to cosponsor. https://t.co/KabQTDn1Zq

Omar, the Islamic Congresswoman who has drawn frequent criticism for her incendiary remarks against Jews, joined Tlaib in her praise of Amash’s efforts.
???????????????? This isn’t about politics, it’s about the fate of our nation! https://t.co/TmxWAE9eo9

Amash shares similar roots to Tlaib, as they are both Palestinian-Americans born from parents who were immigrants. Omar is a Somali migrant brought over to the country through the federally-funded refugee resettlement program. The foreign values shared by these three lawmakers have brought them together in bipartisan fashion to oppose President Trump.
Tlaib had previously filed an impeachment resolution against President Trump, which has received the support of only one fellow Democrat, Rep. Al Green (D-TX).
Democratic leaders such as House Majority Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) have been reticent to sign onto the measure considering the Mueller report cited no evidence showing Trump being guilty of Russian collusion.
“You’re wasting your time, unless the evidence is so conclusive that the Republicans will understand,” Rep. Pelosi said to the USA Today. “Otherwise, it’s a gift to the president. We take our eye off the ball.”
With Amash staking out a more hardcore claim against the President than Speaker Pelosi and all but a handful of elected officials, that may give the Democrats political cover they need to move more boldly against Trump.
Anti-Trump political commentators and media figures see Amash’s support of impeachment as a big win in their efforts to undermine the President:

Do you think Nancy Pelosi cares that Justin Amash is getting all the applause tonight instead of her? She won. She now has bipartisan cover to start impeachment after Mueller testifies. Pelosi always wins – and no one ever figures out how she pulled it off until after she's won.

Tweets from @justinamash are rightly making news. This is what principle over party looks like, We can disagree over policy, but we shouldn't disagree over the rule of law. The call for impeachment, at least with this one voice so far, has taken on a hint of bipartisanship. https://t.co/144WQ757VQ

While Republicans may be angry with Amash’s support of impeachment, he is gaining a huge star among the resistance and ‘Never Trumpers.’ He will likely to continue to get positive coverage from the fake news media as he continues his lurch to the left.
