Anti-Trump RINO Dan Stec Wants Elise Stefanik’s Former U.S. House Seat in New York, MAGA Fights Back

State Senator Dan Stec is angling to take Elise Stefanik’s former U.S. House seat in New York’s 21st Congressional District as Stefanik is departing from the position to serve as Trump’s U.S. ambassador to the United Nations.
Because there will be no primary for the special election to replace Stefanik, this means both Republican and Democrat nominees will be selected by party insiders. Stec is believed to be the favorite of the New York RINO establishment because of his long history of opposing President Trump.
Stec publicly came out in opposition to Trump during his initial run for the presidency. Additionally, Stec’s name was conspicuously absent from a list of prominent New York endorsees posted by Trump in March 2024. Stec waited until after Biden’s debate debacle against Trump before finally issuing his endorsement.
In addition to his anti-Trump record, Stec’s votes in the State Senate show he is a RINO who regularly cuts deals with Democrats and does not put America first. Stec voted in favor of the “go green schools act” to push the green new deal in New York schools, voted in favor of legislation strengthening mandates for gender-neutral language on state websites, and supported a bill to protect LGBT porno books in libraries.
Stec also voted to approve legislation backing DEI mandates in art and cultural endeavors promoted by the state, supported a bill to expand eligibility for Medicaid, voted to approve legislation promoting food stamps to the unemployed, and supported a bill to mandate costly leftist social services to prisoners under the guise of drug rehabilitation. Stec even received an endorsement from the New York State United Teachers union in response to his years of capitulating to far-left Democrats.
Stec’s record is that of a typical wishy-washy moderate, a tool of the political establishment who will never consistently put America first, which is why the elites are so gung-ho about getting him into Congress. However, MAGA has other ideas and is snapping into action to prevent Stec’s coronation. Breitbart News released a scathing indictment of Stec’s record shortly after he announced his ambitions to succeed Stefanik.
Iconic political operative Roger Stone stated that Stec’s nomination would almost certainly result in an independent challenge from Sticker Mule founder Anthony Constantino, a MAGA patriot who displayed the nation’s largest Trump sign in the run up to the 2024 presidential election.

It is clear that MAGA will not accept a phony like Stec replacing Stefanik. The New York Republicans need to put forward a candidate who is a consistent conservative, is proven to have Trump’s back, and will always put America first or they will put the seat in grave jeopardy.
