Asian-American Trump Supporter Has ‘Miss Michigan’ Honors Revoked Over Conservative Beliefs

Asian Trump supporter Kathy Zhu has been stripped of the title of ‘Miss Michigan’ by the Miss World America (MWA) pageant due to her outspoken conservative beliefs.

“It has been brought to the attention of Miss World America (MWA) that your social media accounts contain offensive, insensitive and inappropriate content, and in violation of MWA’s Rules and Conditions,” wrote MWA Michigan state director Laurie DeJack, “specifically the contestant requirement of ‘being of good character and whose background is not likely to bring into disrepute Miss World America or any person associated with the organization.'”

“Therefore, and effective immediately, MWA does not recognize you as a participant of any sort or in any capacity as it relates to any and all events of MWA. Furthermore, let this communication serve as official notice to remove any mention of yourself as a participant of MWA from all social media platforms (including photographs of you wearing the MWA Michigan sash and/or crown, and any text claiming to be a participant of MWA events),” DeJack concluded in her ex-communication email to Zhu.

Zhu is not taking this discrimination lying down. She posted a thread of text messages between DeJack and herself, where it was shown that DeJack attempted to control Zhu’s social media postings in what amounts to Soviet-style censorship.

The problematic tweet DeJack referred to particularly referred to black crime, in which Zhu pointed out an inconvenient fact that drives a stake through the leftist victim narrative important to divisive groups like Black Lives Matter.

“Did you know the majority of black deaths are caused by other blacks?” Zhu tweeted. “Fix problems within your own community first before blaming others.”

Zhu is adamant that there is no bigoted intent behind her political opinions regarding black crime or any other topic.

“This applies for every community,” Zhu said. “If there is a problem, fix things in your own community before lashing out at others and trying to find an issue there. That is all I wanted to say. It is not a problem against black people. Obviously I am not racist or stuff like that.”

Zhu had previously garnered controversy when she refused to try on a hijab after she was prompted to do so by campus leftists at Central Florida University on World Hijab Day. A digital lynch mob formed shortly after her refusal, urging her expulsion for not bowing to the Islamic agenda.

UCF ultimately decided to take no action regarding the matter:

“I said that it was (getting women used to) being oppressed because there are so many women in Middle Eastern countries that are being punished and stoned for refusing to wear a hijab,” Zhu said, according to a report published by the Detroit Free Press.

“Nobody is talking about that in the West because all they see is everyone being at peace, but that is the beauty of America,” she added.

It doesn’t matter that Zhu is neither racist nor intolerant. By merely thinking for herself and formulating an independent opinion, she has become a threat to the leftist agenda of blind conformity. Liberal have politicized every facet of life, and are intent to punish free expression whenever possible.
