Baylor University Sorority Member Dons Black Mask at “Goth” Party Kicking Off Outrage

A sorority member at Baylor University recently kicked off outrage when she wore a black mask to its yearly new-member “goth” party.

According to the Baylor Lariat, the Kappa Kappa Gamma member’s accessory was described as a “black purge mask” (it links to a Party City “basic black mask“), and highlighted that she was told “multiple times” to take it off.

A Kappa Kappa Gamma member, who was critical of the mask and wanted to remain anonymous, stated “It was not painted [on], but obviously that’s still a horrible look […] of course, she didn’t wake up and was like, ‘I’m going to be racist at this event,’ but that’s what it was.”

During a meeting after the event, members were told “to delete all photos and videos” connected with the party: “Just act like basically this didn’t happen. Just like deny everything.”

In a statement, the sorority declared it “recognizes that any incident in which a member of our chapter has caused harm is unacceptable.” It continued by noting that it “values diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging within our membership and we actively encourage members to promote and demonstrate an understanding of these values at all times.”

The anonymous member declared that the statement is still insufficient due to how similar incidents “keep happening.” She claimed that Kappa Kappa Gamma keeps getting away with it because it just gets “a slap on the wrist.”

“[A]dmitting they were wrong kind of opens up discussion and more forgiveness rather than sweeping it under the rug,” the member remarked.

University spokesperson Lori Fogleman proclaimed that the mask was “hurtful and inconsistent with Christian beliefs and the values we share as a caring Christian community.” She continued by noting that Baylor would carry out a “thorough investigation” and “hold individuals and organizations accountable” if needed.

The PC police never rests and looks to find every venue possible to extend their tentacles.

The Right must do everything possible to build networks that play a key role in embedding right-wing activists into all manner of institutions. That way, institutions ranging from sororities to business councils are deprived of leftist influence.
