Bernie Sanders Vows to Stay In Despite Democrat Establishment Pressure, Demands Answers From Biden

In a 1 PM press conference from his home town of Burlington, Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders announced that he will continue his bid to become the nominee for the Democrat Party.

“While we are currently losing the delegate count approximately eight hundred delegates for Joe Biden and six hundred and sixty for us, we are strongly winning in two enormously important areas which will determine the future of our country. Poll after poll, including exit polls; show that a strong majority of the American people support our progressive agenda,” stated Sanders.

“It is not just the ideological debate that our progressive movement, we are winning the generational debate. While Joe Biden continues to do very well with older Americans, especially with those people over sixty five, our campaign continues to win the vast majority of votes of younger people, and I am talking about people not just in their twenties, but also in their thirties and forties, the younger generation”

In the final portion of his remarks Senator Sanders said he looked forward to the one on one debate in Arizona where he will demand answers from Biden on such issues as healthcare, income, wages, the struggles of the middle class, affordable college, undocumented immigrants, and the place of billionaires in the political process.

Many establishment Democrats and political pundits expected the Vermont Senator and leading voice for Socialism in America to suspend his campaign and endorse former Vice President Joe Biden, much like he did for Hillary Clinton in 2016.

At the same time during the 2016 Democrat Primary race, Hillary Clinton led Bernie Sanders by 320 delegates, as of right now Biden leads Sanders by a count of 858 to 709.
