Biden Regime Busted LYING About HHS Crack Pipe Distribution Plan

The Biden regime Department of Health and Human Services recently issued guidelines on a newly approved $30 million dollar grant program aiding in their plan to increase “racial equity.”
A major aspect of this expensive program started by the government includes the planned distribution of kits or boxes meant to help promote the health of the patient. But what exactly do these taxpayer-funded kits comprise of?
For one, crack pipes, the Washington Free Beacon reported. A spokesman for the agency reportedly told the Washington Free Beacon that these kits will provide pipes for users to smoke crack cocaine, crystal methamphetamine, and “any illicit substance.”
Naturally, questions about the seemingly outrageous program arose, leading to reporters asking White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki about the Biden administration potentially funding the smoking of crack pipes.
“They were never a part of the kit,” Psaki falsely alleged in response. “It was inaccurate reporting. We want to put out information to make that clear.” The reporter followed up to ask what a “safe smoking kit” comprises of, to which Psaki replied that it “may contain alcohol swabs, lip balm, other materials to promote hygiene and reduce the transmission of diseases like HIV and hepatitis.”
Psaki then defended the aforementioned grant, saying “I would note that what we’re really talking about here is steps that we’re taking as a federal government to address the opioid epidemic, which is killing tens of thousands, if not more, Americans, day week, month of the year. We put out the statement though, because there was inaccurate information out there—I should say HHS put out the statement—because there was inaccurate information out there and we wanted to provide clarification on the allowable uses for the HHS Harm Reduction Program.”
She further added that “It’s not a change in policy. This program is focused on harm reduction strategies, including prioritizing these the fentanyl test strips and clean syringes. And all of these harm reduction services that will be supported by these programs are intended to save lives from an epidemic that we know is is devastating to communities across the turn.”
Psaki also said that providing an easy means to consume hardcore drugs helps with reducing harmful drug use and deaths. “We know they save lives,” she said later.
Washington Free Beacon‘s Patrick Hauf responded to Psaki’s false allegations of the story being untrue, saying that the outlet “confirmed the story with the HHS, provided context on the grant program beyond the crack pipes, and described how these ‘smoking kits’ have been implemented elsewhere.”
“HHS panicked after the story was published and claimed it was ‘blatant misinformation.’ Then came the fact checks. Then came the social media labels.”
“So now,” Hauf wrote online, “the federal government is denying pipes are in the ‘smoking kits.’ More than 48 hours after the story was published. I was previously told by HHS the kits are used to smoke crack.”
