Biden Regime Restores “Humanitarian Entry” Program for Citizens of Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua, and Venezuela

The United States government recently announced that it will restore  an updated version of a migrant sponsorship program that it had halted earlier this summer over concerns surrounding fraud. The Department of Homeland Security announced this in a statement issued on August 29, 2024.

“With these updated procedures in place, DHS is resuming the issuance of new Advance Travel Authorizations and will closely monitor how this new process is operating moving forward,” the department announced.

The program is an integral plank of President Joe Biden’s efforts to increase so-called “legal pathways” — aka amnesty paths — to the US. Congress has not been able to pass any legislative amnesties due to the gridlocked state of both chambers of Congress. As a result, the Biden regime has had to turn to executive measures to pass amnesty.

The program lets up to 30,000 people into the US on a monthly basis from Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua and Venezuela if they have sponsors and comply with other conditions. Sponsors must reside in the US legally and have enough financial resources to support the person they are sponsoring during their stay in the US

The updated vetting measures include additional scrutiny of supporters’ financial records and criminal background, increased vetting to ostensibly identify fraudulent supporter profiles, and tightened review standards to identify serial filing trends, the department announced on August 29. On top of that, the department will also currently mandate fingerprints from American-based supporters.

As of June 30, roughly 495,000 people from Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua, and Venezuela had entered the US under the program, which kicked off for Venezuelans in 2022 and the other nationalities in 2023, per DHS statistics.

The current Haitian migration crisis that the US is facing can largely be attributed to these policy changes and the US’s broader mass migration policies that encourage immigration from the Global South. Until an immigration moratorium is implemented, the US will continue to be afflicted by a mass migration wave that will demographically annihilate its historically white European founding stock.
