Biden-Supporting Netflix Star Charged With New Counts of Child Sexual Abuse, Child Pornography
A competitive cheerleader and Netflix star who appeared in a digital Joe Biden campaign event has been charged with seven new counts of child pornography and child sex crimes. Jerry Harris, 21 allegedly traveled to Texas and Florida with the intention of having sex with a 15-year old minor in 2019. The new charges against Harris were unsealed on Friday, and follow earlier child pornography charges against Harris which allege the Netflix star demanded minors produce illicit material.
A seven-count indictment obtained by CNN alleges that Harris sexually abused four minors from August 2017 to 2019. Harris was arrested and charged with one count of producing child pornography in September.
Harris interviewed Joe Biden himself in a digital campaign event over the summer, discussing policy proposals designed to benefit the black community.
Netflix has been accused of ignoring or even outright promoting child sexual abuse, most recently publishing a film which depicts prepubescent girls in a sexual light. Netflix was indicted by a Texas grand jury for lewd exhibition after it published Cuties.
An affidavit authored by an FBI agent previously alleges that Harris admitted to producing child pornography after being arrested on the first criminal charge. A lawsuit filed by two alleged victims accuses the competitive cheerleading personality of using his fame within the sport’s community to influence suggestible minors. The suit charges that Harris tried to compel minors to “meet Harris in secluded locations at various competitions, soliciting sexual conduct with these boys.”
A spokesperson for Harris previously asserted the Netflix’s star innocence when questioned on his original criminal indictment.
