Biden Supports Dropping Filibuster To Federalize Abortion Law

Think fetal termination is over now that Roe v. Wade was overturned? Not so fast! White House occupant Joe Biden said his next goal for abortion is to get the controversial act codified into law after unprecedented outrage from Democrats across the nation amid the recent SCOTUS case.

“I believe we have to codify Roe v. Wade into law and the way to do that is to make sure Congress votes to do that,” Biden said at a press conference following an overseas trip to the G-7 and NATO summits Thursday.

The senile leader of the United States then stated his intention to defy the final say of the nation’s highest court.

“And if the filibuster gets in the way, it’s like voting rights, it should be — we provide an exception for this, should require an exception to the filibuster for this action, to deal with the Supreme Court decision,” he said.

NPR wrote that Biden called out the court for what he considered to be “outrageous behavior” regarding recent rulings and that he plans to meet with a group of governors at the White House Friday to speak about the issue.

Current House rules indicate that Democrats and Republicans alike must have 60 votes from politicians of either party in order to clear legislation through the Senate chamber. Democrats need 50 votes in order to change filibuster rules that would break the 60-vote threshold.

Republican Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell lambasted Biden for “attacking a core American institution like the Supreme Court from the world stage.”

“He’s upset that the court said the people, through their elected representatives, will have a say on abortion policy. That does not destabilize democracy – it affirms it,” McConnell said in a statement. “By contrast, it is behavior like the President’s that undermines equal justice and the rule of law.”

Biden stressed that those upset about the overturning of Roe v. Wade need to show up in the midterms.

“Show up and vote, show up in the off-year and vote, vote, vote,” he said.

Biden proudly told reporters that he is the “best messenger” in pushing forward the pro-abortion movement. The senile White House occupant reportedly chuckled, saying, “yeah, I am. I’m the president of the United States of America. That makes me the best messenger.”

Leftists around the country have been in a tizzy ever since recent SCOTUS rulings on abortion as it pertains to states’ rights and the United States constitution. Political activists in the mainstream media have proved to be no exception to this; pieces by CNBC and others can be found expressing great fear at the idea of contraception and other sex-related topics being banned after Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas noted that the court should in the future reconsider all of its “substantive due process precedents, including Griswold, Lawrence, and Obergefell.”
