BIG: Freshman Democrats Have Had Enough of Pelosi, Ready for Border Wall

The President’s holdout is causing ripples in the Democratic Party.

A Tuesday Breitbart article compiled all of the young Democrats in Congress who are ready to make a deal with President Donald J. Trump on the border wall, bucking party leader and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.).

Her compadre, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) urged Democrats to stay unified on the issue on Wednesday morning.

But it appears that Chuck and Nancy are having a difficult time keeping their young guns in line. Several freshman Democrats in Congress are speaking out against party leadership, and want to make a deal with the President.

“It is time for congressional leaders and President Donald Trump ‘to stop hiding and show a little leadership’ to end the longest federal government shutdown in the nation’s history,” freshman Rep. Jared Golden (D-Maine) told the Lewiston Sun Journal. ”

Rep. Elissa Slotkin (D-Mich.), also a first-term Congressperson, apparently agrees with Golden.

“There’s a number of us on the Democratic side who are quite concerned that we’re not working on negotiated positions and taking the bull by the horns and trying to think about what it would look like,” Slotkin told Wall Street Journal

New York Democratic Rep. Max Rose is ready to wheel and deal too.

“All we’ve done in the House is repass the Senate bill. Now that will allow us some freedom, some space, some real debate. The Senate, though, has to show their independence. I just got out of a bruising fight with my House leadership. Let’s open the government back up and let’s get back to work,” he said, adding that he was sick of government shutdowns being used as negotiation tactics.

The same goes for freshman Rep. Anthony Brandisi (D-N.Y.), who – get this – is listening to border security experts and is apparently interested in doing what’s best for the American people, which is a fresh new look for a Democrat.

“If you listen to all the experts, they’ll say some elements of physical barriers where it makes sense are in order. We need more border agents, we need more technology at our border crossings and ports of entries so trucks and shipping containers are inspected before coming into our country,” Brandisi reportedly said.

According to Breitbart, several other young Democrats, including Rep. Abigail Spanberger (D-Va.), who said her constituents were concerned that they were not being prioritized, Rep. Colin Allred (D-Texas), who wouldn’t “rule out” a compromise with Trump, Rep. Lucy McBath (D-Ga.), who is actively seeking to compromise with the President, and Rep. Jeff Van Drew (D-N.J.), who said he would vote for compromise.

Breitbart noted that some Democrats even want a wall, including Rep. Cheri Bustos (D-Ill.), and Rep. Katherine Clark (D-Mass.), both of whom have publicly expressed support for a physical barrier.

The Democrats backing away from the fight on this issue shows that Trump is winning. He should stay the course until the wall is fully funded and construction is underway.

Arizona Sheriff Slams Biden’s ‘America Last’ Border Policy: “Built Roads for the Cartels”

This Arizona sheriff is witnessing the costs of an open border.

Cochise County, Arizona Sheriff Mark Dannels is slamming President Joe Biden’s America Last border and immigration policies, reporting a spike in human smuggling, drug trafficking and illegal immigration. Cochise County covers more than 80 miles of the US-Mexico border, and wall construction was occurring in the county when Joe Biden cancelled all new border wall.

Dannels pointed to the cancellation of wall construction as a factor creating security risks in itself, with more regions of the border totally unaccounted for by contractors and construction companies now absent from the scene. “We just built roads for the cartels,” he said of Biden’s wall cancellation in remarks provided to the Washington Times.

Dannels recounted the overwhelming support for a border wall among his constituents, pointing to it as an effective force in deterring criminal activity and preserving the resources of the Cochise County Sheriff’s Department.

One area that’s wide open right now, we’re getting five to six groups a day,” he said. ”It’s almost worse than it was before. We just built them infrastructure.

It’s a product of politics within policing,” the sheriff said in a Fox News appearance when asked about the cancellation of wall construction. “And I’ve always said that they had no business in our business, in the business of policing what we do on this border in our communities. When President Biden rescinded the emergency order on the southwest border, it stopped resources and stopped construction on our border.

Dannels is recounting the CCSO’s camera system detecting double the amount of illegal aliens in recent months as he saw during the Trump administration, even with border infiltration usually lower in the winter months. He’s expecting the problem to worsen, with Biden promising to enact a series of pro-migration policies in promises to the President of Mexico and Central American governments.

Dannels also is pointing to the health risks of an open border, with illegal aliens merely processed and released into American communities without so much as a COVID test.

Biden administration officials are quietly expecting a a tidal wave of illegal immigration in the spring, with border arrests at their highest levels since 2006 in February.
