Bill Maher Slams the Left for “Politicizing” Ivermectin: “It’s a Drug, Not a Politician”

Comedian Bill Maher criticized virus fanatics for reactionary opposition to the use of Ivermectin as a treatment on his show Friday night, questioning as to why some liberals seem to be actively rooting against medical use of the drug.
“One of the problems is you’ve written so eloquently about is that we have politicized medication now. I mean, Ivermectin. It keeps-Ivermectin. It’s a drug. It’s not a politician. It should not have any reputation, except does it work or not,” Maher said.
Maher questioned why the Left is seemingly invested in discrediting the drug, when there’s legitimate scientific debate about its use in treating coronavirus patients.
“Like on the left, it was like, Oh no, you can’t even mention it,” Maher continued. “And of course, the comedians on the left would only talk about the fact that it was used to worm horses, leaving out that it’s been prescribed millions of times for humans now.”
Partisan-slop circulated by mainstream media had wholly sought to discredit any use of Ivermectin in the treatment of coronavirus, even as reputable doctors recommended its use for some coronavirus patients. The CDC quickly followed suit, dismissing a drug that’s been used to treat millions of people for tropical diseases for decades as a mere horse dewormer. Ivermectin has established uses for both animals and humans, and has for a long time.
CNN partisan-slop TV hosts had exploded in rage in mere reaction to Joe Rogan revealing he took the drug when sick with the virus, following the advice of a doctor and soon recovering from the disease. Rogan is now considering a lawsuit, alleging defamation on the part of the corporate news outlet.
Maher discusses the merits of Ivermectin at 43:00, objecting to the kneejerk reactionary criticism of any place for the drug in treating coronavirus.
