BREAKING: GiveSendGo Promises Donations Sent To Convoy In Spite Of Court Order

Big League Politics very recently reported on the breaking news that a Canadian court in Ontario ruled that the government may entirely freeze any and all funds donated to the Canadian freedom convoy through the crowdfunding website GiveSendGo.

“Today, the Attorney General brought an application in the Superior Court of Justice for an order pursuant to section 490.8 of the Criminal Code prohibiting any person from disposing of, or otherwise dealing with, in any manner whatsoever, any and all monetary donations made through the Freedom Convoy 2022 and Adopt-a-Trucker campaign pages on the GiveSendGo online fundraising platform,” wrote Ontario Premier Doug Ford in an earlier issued statement.

The situation has evolved since, with the Christian crowdfunding website putting out a statement indicating that they have zero plans of following the tyrannical desires of the Canadian government and courts.

“Know this! Canada has absolutely ZERO jurisdiction over how we manage our funds here at GiveSendGo,” the crowdfunding company wrote on Twitter. “All funds for EVERY campaign on GiveSendGo flow directly to the recipients of those campaigns, not least of which is The Freedom Convoy campaign.”

The Canadian freedom convoy has been able to raise over 8 million dollars for their cause on GiveSendGo thus far.

Prior to GiveSendGo’s breaking promise that they will distribute the funds in spite of the Canadian government’s demand for a freeze, innovators from Canada’s Freedom Convoy were already finding a workaround; those seeking to donate to the pro-freedom protests can now also donate via crypto by clicking here.

The story remains evolving, and more updates will follow as events unfold.
