Two Sheriff’s Deputies of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department were shot in the head on Saturday night at the Compton PAX station.

The condition of the two sheriff’s deputies is unclear, although the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department confirmed they are “fighting for their lives.” They have been transported to an area hospital.

The latest update indicates that the two deputies, who were assigned to the LASD’s Transit Security Bureau, were sitting in a squad car when they were “ambushed.”

No suspect has been arrested as of yet, although law enforcement is actively investigating to obtain a profile of a suspect.

The story is developing, and Big League Politics will continue to monitor the situation.
