BREAKING: Two Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Deputies Shot in the Head at Bus Station

Two Sheriff’s Deputies of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department were shot in the head on Saturday night at the Compton PAX station.
BREAKING: Two LASD Transit Security Bureau deputies have been shot at the Compton PAX station. I’m told by LASD that both were shot in the head by a male who got off a bus, then fled. Both hospitalized, Sheriff Villanueva at hospital now. @FOXLA

The condition of the two sheriff’s deputies is unclear, although the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department confirmed they are “fighting for their lives.” They have been transported to an area hospital.
Moments ago, 2 of our Sheriff Deputies were shot in Compton and were transported to a local hospital. They are both still fighting for their lives, so please keep them in your thoughts and prayers. We will update this thread with information as it becomes available.

The latest update indicates that the two deputies, who were assigned to the LASD’s Transit Security Bureau, were sitting in a squad car when they were “ambushed.”
UPDATE: LASD sources tell me both deputies were in their vehicle when they were both shot in the head and that this was a “straight ambush”. LASD working on suspect info. @FOXLA

No suspect has been arrested as of yet, although law enforcement is actively investigating to obtain a profile of a suspect.
