BREAKING: Youngkin Announces Victory – “Breakfast Will be Served Shortly”
Republican gubernatorial candidate Glenn Youngkin held an election night party in Virginia Tuesday after being projected to win the race against Democrat candidate and former state governor, Terry McAuliffe.
The governor began the speech thanking his family, friends, and various other supporters of his campaign, joking with them that soon the “breakfast will be served shortly.”
Youngkin then discussed his planned policy proposals, including his promises to cut taxes, improve the economy, promote school choice in the public school system, protect law enforcement, and his mission to make Virginia the state “where everybody wants to live, not leave.”
“We will not be a commonwealth of low expectations, we will be a commonwealth of high expectations,” Youngkin declared to an energetic crowd full of applause.
“This is our Virginia to build together and we are going to go to work on day one,” the projected governor told the crowd before offering a hopeful conclusion for his supporters.
“Our children’s future was [sic] strengthened by our collective belief in the Virginia promise. So let’s climb that hill together. Let’s reinvigorate our future let’s reinvigorate this amazing commonwealth of Virginia. Together… We can build a new day, a new day for Virginias where yes we sore and we never settle. A new day where all Virginians, all of us can deserve to look forward to grabbing to aspiring to dreaming and then achieving that great Virginia promise. God bless you all God bless the Commonwealth of Virginia and let’s go!”
