British Gov. Scientist Warns Face Mask Submission is Increasingly about ‘Communicating to Others a Sense of Responsibility’ in Society

A government scientist in Britain has come out and admitted publicly that face mask mandates are increasingly about “communicating to others a sense of responsibility” to submit to collective mass hysteria.
Professor Clifford Stott, a Keele University social psychologist who serves as a member of the Scientific Pandemic Insights Group on Behaviours (Spi-B) subgroup of SAGE, made the comment about how he believes it is unfortunate this culture has developed around face masks.
“We know, obviously, wearing masks, particularly in crowded, poorly ventilated environments, has a big impact on the levels of transmission that can take place,” Stott said to the LBC.
“But, I think, particularly now, wearing a mask is also communicating to others a sense of responsibility, and I think that’s a key issue in mask-wearing now, unfortunately,” he added.
However, Stott offered little more than double-speak in terms of how he believes this problem should be solved among the public.
“I think the data that we do have shows that the majority of the public do want to retain some legal infrastructure around there — so I think the latest data was around about 67 per cent of the population,” he said.
“I think the argument that we should be having here is that it’s about the way that the broader relaxation of the Government’s position over the virus is effectively communicating to people that transmission is no longer that important,” Stott continued.
“Yet at the same time, of course, we’re seeing this rise and very heavy spread of the delta variant,” he added.
Stott’s words come as Britain heads for another lockdown. Muslim London Mayor Sadiq Khan wants authorities to fine and maybe even imprison people who refuse to comply with forced masking.
“We are trying to lobby the Government to allow us to bring in a by-law, so it will be the law again, so we can issue fixed penalty notices and we can use the police service and BTP to enforce this,” Khan said.
“I’m hoping the Government understands, on the issue of public safety and public confidence, we want to be able to use the law to make sure people do wear face masks in spaces where you can’t keep your social distance for obvious reasons,” he added.

“One of the Biden administration’s top COVID-19 advisors has admitted that most face masks are “not very effective” in stopping the spread of the virus.
Dr. Michael Osterholm, a member of President Joe Biden’s COVID-19 Advisory Board, told CNN that the mask wearing is little more than theater, as most cloth face coverings do nothing to prevent the spread of the virus.
“And if I could just add a nuance to that, which hopefully doesn’t add more confusion, we know today that many of the face cloth coverings people wear are not very effective in reducing any of the virus movement in or out,” Osterholm told CNN host John King. “Either you’re breathing out or you’re breathing in.”
“So I think one of the things right now is we’ve just got to get a better handle on what does protect people and what doesn’t,” he added.
Osterholm explained that he wants people to wear N-95 respirators, which he believes actually work, rather than commending individuals for throwing a piece of cloth over their face for the purposes of placating senseless rules and signaling mindless obedience.
“We need to talk about N-95 respirators, which would do a lot for both people who are not yet vaccinated or not previously infected, protecting them, as well as keeping others who might become infected having been vaccinated from breathing out the virus,” he said.”
Even though certain government scientists like Stott may have a guilty conscience, the public psyche will be forever altered by the COVID-19 mass hysteria. They have opened Pandora’s box against western civilization and deserve to be put to justice for their complicity in realizing the Orwellian nightmare.
