Christian Revival Necessary To Save Europe, Says Hungary’s Viktor Orban

Published

on

The only way for Europe to be saved is if it returns “to the source of its real values: its Christian identity,” declared Hungarian prime minister Viktor Orban a few days ago.

He made the statement during his speech at the second International Conference on Christian Persecution, held in Budapest from the 26th to the 28th.

Speaking in reverent terms, Orban delved into his nation’s history to argue that their conversion to Christianity was the “the key to our survival,” and that “this legacy obliges us to protect Christian communities persecuted across the world as far as we are able.”

To that end, the prime minister touted the “Hungary Helps” program, started by the state in 2017, which provides aid to persecuted Christians around the world. This is not done through multinational intermediaries like the UN or NGOs, but by direct relationships between the Hungarian government and Christian communities. As of April 2019, “Hungary Helps” has distributed over $26 million.

Describing the program, Orban said: “We are giving persecuted Christians what they need: homes, hospitals, and schools,” and stated that his hope was to “receive in return what Europe needs most: a Christian faith, love and perseverance.”

He also called attention to the institutional discrimination Christians face in the West, particularly from their own political class, observing that “a mysterious force shuts the mouths of European politicians and cripples their arms,” with the result that “Christians are not allowed to be mentioned on their own, only together with other groups.”

Emphasizing the inextricably intertwined history of Christianity and Europe, Orban connected this attack to the other problems of “replacement of the population, immigration, stigmatization, insults and the muzzle of political correctness.”

The Hungarian prime minister has been at the head of the illiberal, nationalist resistance to globalism in Europe. His government has had considerable successes in restructuring the Hungarian economy to work for its people; providing better wages, restoring sovereignty, and undoing much of the disastrous exploitation of global neoliberalism.

Orban has made it clear that his governance model emphasizes the survival and well-being of the Hungarian people, rather than materialistic concerns about rigidly adhering to any economic or political system.

To this end, he has coupled bold economic programs to boost the gravely low native birthrate with a tireless crusade against the mass immigration invasion continuously pushed on the peoples of Europe by globalist international organizations like the EU, UN, and NGOs. In response to the massive flood of Middle Eastern and African migrants in 2015-2016, Hungary built tough border fences which cratered illegal entry by 99%.

Orban has also been diligently fighting a cultural war against leftist corrosion of Hungarian society. His government has conducted pro-life campaigns; banned Marxist gender studies; shut down a subversive university funded by George Soros; and continuously emphasized the primacy of Hungary’s Christian and ethnic identity instead of the invasive lies of secularism and multiculturalism.

In other words, time and again Viktor Orban has proved to be a steadfast warrior for Christianity and Europe, and his latest statements and the accompanying actions of Hungary in supporting persecuted Christians provide divine example to other leaders of Christian nations all over the world. May God bless Hungary and its people, and would that the US follows in its footsteps!

Poland’s Nationalist President Declares Election Victory Over Soros-Linked Liberal Challenger

A victory for European conservatives and nationalists.

Polish President Andrzej Duda declared victory at a campaign rally following the initial exit polls in the nation’s presidential election on Sunday, as exit poll results showed him narrowly leading against Warsaw Mayor Rafal Trzaskowski.

Initial exit polls showed Duda, of the national conservative Law and Justice Party, leading by a slim margin of 50.4% to Trzaskowski’s 49.6%. Final results are expected Monday, but Duda’s campaign is apparently confident enough in their victory to declare triumph in the election.

The Polish election had included a national debate on cultural issues, with Duda accusing Trzaskowski of supporting the introduction of western-style homosexual political movements into Poland. Duda, a continental skeptic of the European Union broadly comparable to Hungary’s Viktor Orban, had described LGBTIA+ ideology as “more destructive” than the Soviet-style Communism many Poles had experienced in the 20th century.

Trzaskowski was also scrutinized for his extensive links to western political elites, having received a scholarship from globalist oligarch George Soros and attending the California Bilderberg Conference.

If Duda’s claim of election night victory holds, his reelection as Polish president will serve as an embarrassment to the bureaucrats of the European Union, potentially forcing them to come to the table and negotiate concessions with Central European leaders such as Duda and Orban who insist upon their national sovereignty.

Duda is thought of as a European ally of President Donald Trump, having been the first global leaders to visit the White House after the coronavirus pandemic. Poland is also one of the few NATO countries to meet their treaty spending commitment, spending more than 2% of its GDP on its armed forces.

Thank you to all my fellow Poles who voted for me and cast their votes. I want to thank you with all my heart because this turnout shows how much you care about our country,” said Duda at the election rally.
