CNN Poll: Overwhelming U.S. Majority Thinks Investigation Into Obama Administration Spying on Trump is Warranted

The public has awakened to the conspiracy that has been perpetrated on President Donald Trump by the deep state, and a majority of Americans believes that the investigation into the spying operation conducted by the Obama administration against Trump is warranted.

The poll, released by CNN in May, showed that “69% think Congress ought to investigate the origins of the Justice Department’s inquiry into Russian interference in the 2016 election, including 76% of Democrats, 69% of independents and 62% of Republicans.”

This report shows that everyone’s interest is piqued, and after years of Russian collusion madness that has divided the nation, they want concrete answers about how and why this actually happened.

“The American public increasingly feels that Democrats in Congress are going too far in investigating the President,” CNN reported. “44% say Democrats are doing too much on that score, up from 38% saying so in March. That shift stems largely from independents, 46% of whom now say congressional Democrats are going too far.”

This news bodes well for Attorney General Bill Barr as he continues to get to the bottom of the matter.

“I think one of the ironies today is that people are saying that it’s President Trump that’s shredding our institutions. I really see no evidence of that,” Barr said in a CBS interview.

“From my perspective, the idea of resisting a democratically elected president and basically throwing everything at him and you know, really changing the norms on the grounds that we have to stop this president, that is where the shredding of our norms and our institutions is occurring,” he added.

Barr has U.S. Attorney John H. Durham of Connecticut on the case, tasking him with looking into the origin of the spying operation against President Trump. The DOJ has already announced that they will be interviewing senior CIA personnel as a result of the investigation.

Rep. Mark Meadows (R-NC), the House Freedom Caucus leader who is one of President Trump’s top allies, claims that the reckoning is on its way after a years-long national nightmare for our democracy waged by the deep state.

“We’re getting a lot of whistleblowers, primarily the whistleblowers are coming forward because they believe Attorney General Bill Barr and [U.S. Attorney] John Durham are willing to get to the bottom of it. So people that perhaps were afraid under previous leadership to actually say, well, we knew this was wrong, they are coming forward now,” Meadows said to Sean Hannity on Fox News.

“People need to go to jail. People need to be accountable and I believe indictments are on their way,” Meadows added.
