Congressman Adam Kinzinger Believes the 2024 US Elections Will be a Mess

Outgoing Congressman Adam Kinzinger believes that the 2024 presidential election will be a “mess” if Donald Trump throws his hat in the presidential ring again.
Press TV reported that Kinzinger made those statements during an ABC interview on June 19, 2022. Host George Stephanopoulos asked him about how concerned he was about the stability of the country during that election cycle.
The ABC host believes that 2024 will also have the same controversy that surrounded the 2020 election, namely, election irregularities and disputed election results.
Stephanopoulos then asked Kinzinger, “How worried are you about 2024?”
“Very worried,” Kinzinger answered. “One of the things we’re focusing on are those [state]-level elections as well, the people that will determine whether they certify an election, you know, what kind of equipment is being used.”
“We focused so much on what goes on in D.C. and Congress and the Senate. But when you have these election judges that are going to people that don’t believe basically in democracy, authoritarians, 2024 is going to be a mess,” he continued.
Kinzinger believes that there is a dearth of leadership within the Republican Party. “And wake up, America. Wake up, Republicans, because this is not going to be good for you if you think it is,” Kinzinger stated.
Kinzinger will be leaving Congress this November. And good riddance.
His track record is terrible. Previously, Kinzinger has voted for universal background checks and mandatory firearm storage legislation, in addition to voting to impeach former Donald Trump after the January 6 storming of the Capitol. To make matters worse, Kinzinger introduced legislation that would have the US deployed to Ukraine in the case that Russia turns to the use of biological, chemical, and/or nuclear weapons against Ukraine.
All told, Kinzinger will not be missed. Elected officials like him have no business in the increasingly populist Republican Party.
