Democrats Are Telling Biden Regime To Implement As Many Regulations As Possible Before the 2024 Election

Punchbowl News reported that congressional Democrats are urging the Biden regime to quickly implement far-reaching regulations ahead of the 2024 presidential election.

The Biden regime has a bold regulatory agenda to enact President Joe Biden’s political pet projects, which includes measures to urge the production of additional electric vehicles, forgive student loans, halt “junk fees” by service providers and prohibit non-competition clauses in contracts, among other measures. These moves are part of a growing concern that Biden may not be able to defeat former President Donald Trump in the 2024 presidential election. In turn, Democrats have been calling on the Biden regime to finalize three regulations as soon as possible to prevent their quick overturning if Biden loses his re-election bid.

Regulations implemented by a presidential administration may be abolished by a succeeding president administration via the Administrative Procedures Act or rescinded by Congress using the Congressional Review Act (CRA), which empowers the body to scrap regulations green lit by executive branch agencies within 60 legislative days of being published in the Federal Register. CRA votes are moved in an expeditious manner and do not go through the cloture mandate in the Senate, preventing them from being filibustered.

Joint resolutions passed via CRA provisions must still be sent to the President and may still be vetoed by him. That said, in 2017, the Republican-led 115th Congress passed multiple CRA resolutions to repeal several regulations enacted by the Obama administration that Trump signed into law.

The Biden regime is currently in the process of finalizing several notable regulatory actions that impact multiple facets of American life. These include a planned regulation  by the Federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) to enact background checks on firearms bought at gun shows and online, a rule to broaden mental healthcare access in coverage plans offered by health insurance providers, a regulation to place stricter pollutant emissions standards for heavy-duty commercial vehicles and a regulation to raise the cost of leases for oil and gas extraction venture on public lands.

Democrats know that Biden is on the ropes, so they’re trying to pass and implement all manner of regulations in order to leave a massive stink on for Trump and Republicans to deal with.

Regardless of what happens in November, right-wingers have their work cut out for them in terms of restoring order in the US.
