Democrats In Boston Seek to Extend Voting Rights to Foreigners

Democrats on the Boston City Council are working to extend local voting rights to foreigners in the United States on visas, green cards, and other forms of legal migrant status.

Councilwoman Kendra Lara, a Democrat, put forward the measure, which would grant foreigners on green cards, visas, and other forms of legal status the ability to vote in Boston local elections.

Lara declared in a statement:

Though immigrants, particularly those with legal status, pay taxes and contribute to Boston’s economy, they are not able to participate in the electoral process, in what I believe is a violation of one of our foundational American principles. By moving this home rule petition forward, Boston can begin the process of making good on our promise to build a city that is for everyone.

Councilman Ricardo Arroyo has previously celebrated the idea of granting foreign nationals the right to vote. He believes such a program would boost voter turnout.

“It’s not a new idea,” Arroyo said to the Boston Herald. “It’s important, I think, to give a voice to folks locally, who are providing and are subject to all manner of municipal decisions.”

John Binder of Breitbart News observed that nearly 30% of Boston residents are foreign nationals, though he noted that “it is unclear how many would be eligible to vote under Lara’s plan.”

Democrats, who are animated by the spirit of the Great Replacement, have sought to grant foreign nationals the right to vote for some time. The whole goal is to elect a new people — a move that would signify the end of the Historic American Nation.

This is why, among other reasons, immigration has to be restricted. The future of America ultimately depends on brave immigration patriots to step up to the plate and halt this civilization-destroying process.
