Democrats Plan to Splurge Billions on Welfare and Medical Benefits on Afghan Nationals

House Democrats are prioritizing the needs of Afghan migrants by spending billions in US taxpayer money on new arrivals who have been pouring since the chaotic withdrawal from Afghanistan

As John Binder of Breitbart News noted “welfare. housing assistance, and medical services” are all on the menu for the newly arriving Afghan migrants. On September 21, 2021, House Democrats rolled out their plan to increase funding for several federal agencies. This plan features guarantees for Afghan migrants to the U.S. who are on “humanitarian parole” to receive the same public benefits and services that are usually reserved for migrants under refugee status.

Binder detailed some of the program’s more specific points:

Specifically, the plan would give ‘resettlement assistance, entitlement programs, and other benefits’ like driver’s licenses and state-issued IDs to the tens of thousands of Afghans in the U.S. on parole. The plan opens the scope of who would be eligible for such benefits to include Afghans who arrive in the U.S. after September 2022 and those who are the spouses or children of newly arrived Afghans.

Under this big spending plan,  $21.5 million would be allocated towards the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) so that Afghans can receive “medical support, screening, and other related public health activities.”

An additional $1.7 billion would be allocated to the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) for the following purposes:

…grants or contracts with qualified nonprofit organizations to provide culturally and linguistically appropriate services, including wrap-around services during temporary housing and after resettlement, housing assistance, medical assistance, legal assistance, and case management assistance.

Further, roughly $415 million will be directed to “migration and refugee assistance” to “address humanitarian needs in, and to assist refugees from, Afghanistan.”

Binder covered some of Biden’s Afghan resettlement plans:

Biden has said he hopes to resettle about 95,000 Afghans across the U.S. over the next 12 months. In a 21-day period from August to September, Biden brought more than 48,000 Afghans to the U.S. for resettlement — a population more than four times that of Jackson, Wyoming.

An initial 37,000 Afghans will be resettled across 46 states. California will get the most Afghans, 5,255, while Texas will have nearly 4,500 Afghans resettled in the state. A total of 18 Republican governors are backing Biden’s resettlement operation.

Binder concluded by observing that American taxpayers are on the hook for roughly $9 billion every five years to subsidize the resettlement of refugees. This is just one of the many costs of mass migration which puts hard-working American taxpayers on the hook while economically displacing them. Simply put, mass migration entails the wholesale displacement of the Historic American Nation. Any serious patriot should oppose this entire process whole-heartedly.
