Democrats Will Censure Lawmaker Who Credited Trump After Her Life Was Saved Due to Hydroxychloroquine

Michigan state representative Karen Whitsett credited President Donald Trump with recommending hydroxychloroquine, which resulted in her successful treatment and recovery from coronavirus, and now the Detroit lawmaker paying a political price for her candor.
Michigan Democrats are planning on censuring Whitsett to punish her for telling the truth about Trump’s role in her recovery for coronavirus. The 13th Congressional District Democratic Party Organization is expected to make the decision official during their meeting on Saturday.
“At the end of the day, we have political systems,” said Jonathan Kinloch, chairman of the group, making it clear that partisanship comes above all else to the Democrats. “We have political parties, and political parties exist for a reason.”
“They do not belong to themselves,” Kinloch said regarding candidates and elected officials endorsed by the committee. “They belong to the members and precinct delegates of the Democratic Party.”
The resolution condemns Whitsett, claiming she has “has repeatedly and publicly praised the president’s delayed and misguided COVID-19 response efforts in contradiction with the scientifically based and action-oriented response” from Democrats in the state. They also claim that she “misrepresented the needs and priorities” of Democrat leadership, meaning that she did not show proper fealty to the party bosses.
The 13th District Democrats would have preferred for Whitsett to either lie or shut her mouth instead of telling the truth about President Trump and hydroxychloroquine, even if telling the truth may lives in a city that has emerged as a coronavirus hot spot.
“Thank you for everything that you have done,” Whitsett told Trump during the meeting at the White House. “I did not know that saying thank you had a political line. … I’m telling my story and my truth, and this how I feel and these are my words.”
Despite the upcoming censure, Whitsett refuses to back down an inch. She will not let anyone, even members of her own political party, censor her voice. She will continue to make her voice be heard regardless of the consequences.
“I will continue to fight for the city of Detroit and the people in Detroit who need it the most, and that is the black community,” Whitsett said. “We’re the voiceless, and I don’t care who I got to go up against to do that.”
“I’m a Democrat, and I plan on continuing to be a Democrat, but they will change their ways. I have my First Amendment right, and no one will take that away from me,” she added.
Democrats hate Trump so much that they would allow people to suffer and potentially die rather than give credit to the Commander-in-Chief. They are showing how Trump Derangement Syndrome can be lethal.
