Descendants of Slaves Want $74 Billion in Reparations From Saint Louis University

The Descendants of the St. Louis University Enslaved organization have recently called on Saint Louis University to fork over $74 billion in reparations to the descendants of slaves who allegedly built the Jesuit Catholic university. They made the announcement in favor of a reparations payment at a press conference.

The $74 billion figure came from the research of economist Julianne Malveaux who argues the slaves never slept.

“An estimated $365 million in unpaid labor was announced, and with added interest over time, amounts to $70 billion, according to Malveaux,” Spectrum News reported. “The number was based on labor done 24 hours per day, 365 days per year for 70 enslaved people from 1823-1865, she said.”

“We’re not asking for a handout. We’re asking for their debt to be paid,” one descendant declared.

Areva Martin, a “civil rights attorney” and pundit who appears on CNN, is representing the organization.

The university has not been very enthusiastic about the prospect of making reparations to blacks.

“SLU’s participation in the institution of slavery was a grave sin. We acknowledge that progress on our efforts to reconcile with this shameful history has been slow, and we regret the hurt and frustration this has caused,” the university said to the media.

“Continuing this work is a priority for SLU and the Society of Jesus,” the university added. “As we move forward, we hope to re-establish and build deeper relationships with all descendant families, to explore together how best to honor the memory of those who were enslaved by the Jesuits.”

Calls for reparations are nothing more than a racial shakedown being pursued by anti-white activists and organizations. The goal here is to confiscate wealth from whites and redistribute it to the most predatory elements of non-white society.

In no way should the Right ever make concessions to these parasites. If anything, whites should be getting reparations for the anti-white policies — mass immigration and the weaponization of the Civil Rights bureaucracy — that have brought about chaos and mayhem nationwide since the 1960s.
