Elon Musk Defends Trump-Hating Pro-Censorship Demagogue Leading ‘Safety and Integrity’ at Twitter

Technocrat Elon Musk has received a great deal of plaudits from the Right by cleaning house since taking over Twitter, but he is refusing to get rid of some of the problematic holdovers from the previous woke leadership.

Musk is defending Yoel Roth, Head of Safety & Integrity at Twitter, as the man who can be relied upon to give the “most accurate understanding of what’s happening with trust & safety” for the social media giant.

Roth has made very deranged, anti-Trump posts spanning many years that suggest he is wholly unqualified to serve as an unbiased arbiter determining what content is appropriate to be posted on Twitter.

“Hell is the Log Cabin Republicans framing themselves as the last best hope for gay rights under President Trump,” Roth wrote in a tweet back in 2013.

Roth became even more unhinged after President Trump won the presidency and continued to post his hateful bile against his supporters.

“I’m just saying, we fly over those states that voted for a racist tangerine for a reason,” Roth said in a post shortly after Trump was elected.

In other posts, Roth compared former Trump counselor Kelly Anne Conway to Hitler’s propaganda man Joseph Goebbels and claimed without providing any evidence that there were “actual Nazis in the White House” during the Trump administration.

In addition, Roth was responsible for leading the censorship charge against the credible Hunter Biden laptop story, using disinformation circulated by federal deep state spooks as an excuse to suppress information that could have been damaging to the Democrat Party’s chances to win the 2020 presidential election.

“Yoel Roth, the head of Twitter’s Site Integrity Team, cited the information from U.S. intelligence officials to justify Twitter’s decision to block access to a series of New York Post articles published in October detailing emails found on Biden’s laptop,” a report from the Washington Free Beacon stated.

The Federal Election Commission (FEC) rejected a complaint issued by Republicans accusing Twitter of giving an illegal campaign contribution to Biden’s campaign because of Roth’s decision to enact this politically-motivated censorship. It was ultimately dismissed.

The Washington Free Beacon noted in their report: “The commission pointed to Roth’s testimony that U.S. officials warned him individuals close to political campaigns would likely be targeted in “hack-and-leak” operations close to the election. Roth said he met frequently throughout 2020 with government officials to discuss election security. He said he learned in one of the meetings that “there were rumors that a hack-and-leak operation would involve Hunter Biden.”‘

Musk standing by Roth is a bad sign that he does not actually intend to change Twitter’s policies in favor of free speech.
