Elon Musk Warns That “Civilization is Going to Crumble” If the Developed World Doesn’t Have More Children

Tesla CEO and megabillionaire Elon Musk raised concerns with the low birth rates of countries of the developed world on Monday, speaking at a Wall Street Journal event for CEO’s.
Musk warned that a lack of children would spell the death knell of civilization, speaking about a problem that primarily affects the wealthier and more developed nations of North America, Europe and East Asia.
“I can’t emphasize this enough: there are not enough people,” Musk said during the Wall Street Journal’s CEO Council Summit. “One of the biggest risks to civilization is the low birth rate and the rapidly declining birth rate.”
Musk hit back at attempts among cultural elites to discredit the notion of a family, with major corporations increasingly seeking to encourage young women to forsake the former in favor of a white-collar career.
“So many people, including smart people, think that there are too many people in the world and the population is growing out of control,” Musk said at the conference on Monday. “If people don’t have more children, civilization is going to crumble. Mark my words.”
Economic insecurity as well as liberal cultural values are thought to play a role in the increasing scarcity of family formation in the United States, with exorbitant costs of homeownership and declining middle-class career prospects making it harder for young Americans to get married and have children.
The phenomenon isn’t exclusive to western countries- highly developed nations such as Japan, Singapore and South Korea have even more dismal birth rates than Europe or America.
Countries in the developing world have birthrates well above the rate of population replacement, raising questions about the ability of existing infrastructure in some of the world’s poorest nations to meet the needs of ever-increasing populations. Western globalist elites have sought to replace the native populations of western countries with migrants from the third world, damaging social cohesion, quality of life, wages and democratic culture at home.
