Expert: Biden Regime’s STEM immigration Plan Will Hurt College Graduate

The Biden regime’s Department of Labor is flirting with the idea of expanding the definition for who qualifies for “permanent employment” as foreign workers.

This proposed change could include broadening what is deemed a Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math, or STEM, job.

In effect, this new rule would broaden Schedule A STEM and “non-STEM occupations.”

Schedule A professions consist of “occupations where DOL has determined a scarcity of qualified US workers,” creating a prioritization that simplifies the hiring process for employers,” per an immigration law firm.

However, a Howard University political scientist who largely focuses on immigration and STEM stated that several American college graduates could be negatively impacted by the proposal.

Professor Ron Hira informed The College Fix over the phone that there are critical pieces of STEM immigration scholarship not present in the citations the Labor Department is using.

Hira noted that a large inflow of workers into the STEM job market — foreign nationals in this case — would put downward pressure on worker wages.

Indeed, this is the story of mass legal immigration. It’s part of a plan to destroy the working class through depressed wages and destroy the Historic American through the Great Replacement. It’s not enough to oppose illegal immigration, the Right must also vehemently oppose legal immigration.
