Facebook is Considering Lifting Their Ban of Donald Trump in 2023

Meta is considering the removal of its ban on President Donald J. Trump from participating on their massive social media platform, Facebook, in Jan. 2023.
Nick Clegg, President of Global Affairs for Meta, said during an appearance at the Semafor Exchange in Washington D.C. that they are strongly considering a reinstatement of Trump on their platform.
However, Clegg mentioned that Meta would talk to certain “experts” about weighing the harm potential of such a reinstatement before deciding whether or not to actually through with it. No doubt there will be Soros-funded “experts” from groups like the Anti-Defamation League lobbying Facebook to keep their Orwellian restrictions in place throughout the process.
“When you make a decision that affects the public realm, you need to act with great caution,” Clegg said while speaking with Semafor editor-at-large Steve Clemons. “You shouldn’t throw your weight about.”
“If we think there is is content on our platform which will lead to real-world harm — physical harm — then we feel we have a clear responsibility to act against it,” Clegg added.
Big League Politics reported on how Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg stated that Facebook censored news items about Hunter Biden in the lead-up to the 2020 presidential election at the behest of the FBI:
“Facebook founder and Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg appeared on the Joe Rogan Experience Thursday to explain how the federal government compelled the censorship of the Hunter Biden laptop story in the lead-up to the 2020 presidential election.
“How do you guys handle things when they’re a big news item that’s controversial?” Rogan asked Zuckerberg, adding that “there was a lot of attention on Twitter during the election because of the Hunter Biden laptop story.”
Rogan asked Zuckerberg if Facebook censored the Hunter Biden story like Twitter did, and Zuckerberg explained the process that went into his platform suppressing the highly-relevant news item.
“Basically, the background here is the FBI, I think, basically came to us, some folks on our team, and was like, ‘Hey, um, just so you know, like, you should be on high alert, we thought there was a lot of Russian propaganda in the 2016 election, we have it on notice that basically there’s about to be some kind of dump of, uh um, that’s similar to that so just be vigilant,’” Zuckerberg responded.
Zuckerberg said they did not censor the story like Twitter did, but instead chose to freeze it out of users’ news feeds with their algorithm.
“Fewer people saw it than would have otherwise…but basically, a lot of people were still able to share it. We got a lot of complaints that that was the case,” Zuckerberg said.
“If the FBI, which I still view as a legitimate institution in this country – it is very professional law enforcement – if they come to us and tell us we need to be on guard about something, I want to take that seriously,” he added.”
Meta would need courage in order to restore Trump back to Facebook. Don’t count on them being willing to withstand the tidal wave of establishment pressure for them to rescind their censorship. Big Tech is Big Brother, and that is not likely to change until they are put out of commission.
