FACT CHECK: Hundreds of Pro-Trump Ballots Have Been Recovered in Rural Michigan City

A recent tweet by independent journalist Jordan Epperson has gone viral after being retweeted by Donald Trump Jr. In his tweet, Epperson indicates that it is not just urban communities in Michigan that are problematic in the state with regards to electoral integrity, but also rural areas as well.

Big League Politics did research to prove whether or not Epperson’s claim is legitimate. We quickly discovered that Epperson’s tweet is backed up by the facts.
Michigan state representative Shane Hernandez initially discovered that a precinct in the small town of Marysville had a voter turnout that was roughly 35 percent lower than neighboring precincts.
St. Clair County Clerk Jay DeBoyer performed an investigation as a result of Hernandez’s findings, and he discovered that the absentee ballots in the precinct were not counted because of a mistake that was made in the clerk’s office. After the mistake was corrected, Trump gained an additional 500 votes.
This is far from the only instance of a voter irregularity that has occurred in the conservative rural areas throughout Michigan. There have also been abnormalities reported in Antrim County, a county in the ultra-conservative northern part of the state. Antrim initially went for Biden by a 2-to-1 margin, but those results are now being reviewed and are expected to be corrected.
So, it looks like the initial vote tally in Antrim Co. was a mistake, that will be corrected to favor Trump. However- Leelanau went for Biden by 900 votes, making it the only northern MI county, besides Marquette, to vote Dem. Surprised Grand Traverse didn't follow suit.

Because of the insanity that is happening in Michigan, the Trump campaign is filing a lawsuit. Their lawsuit pertains more to what is happening in the city of Detroit, where Republican poll challengers and poll workers have been disenfranchised in a seemingly deliberate manner.
“As votes in Michigan continue to be counted, the presidential race in the state remains extremely tight as we always knew it would be. President Trump’s campaign has not been provided with meaningful access to numerous counting locations to observe the opening of ballots and the counting process, as guaranteed by Michigan law. We have filed suit today in the Michigan Court of Claims to halt counting until meaningful access has been granted. We also demand to review those ballots which were opened and counted while we did not have meaningful access. President Trump is committed to ensuring that all legal votes are counted in Michigan and everywhere else,” Trump campaign chairman Bill Stepien said.
The #DetroitLeaks series has exposed potential impropriety during poll worker trainings, which may be contributing to all of these problems with the electoral process. The Trump campaign may be able to reverse the official results in the courts once the facts are revealed during legal proceedings.
