FACT CHECK: Militia Members Charged in Dubious Gretchen Whitmer Siege are Anarchist ‘Boogaloo Boys’, Not Republicans
Earlier today, Big League Politics reported on an FBI operation to stage a phony siege against Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer in which the individuals set up were reportedly going to kidnap her or perform a citizens’ arrest on Whitmer for her many crimes against humanity.
While it was revealed that a confidential informant was paid thousands of dollars to set up the dubious sting operation, the individuals involved in the plot are not even Republicans despite what many liberal commenters are saying in the fake news or on social media. Their own words indicate that they are anarchists who are adherents to the “Boogaloo Boy” meme that has taken off in recent months.
Journalist Robby Starbuck posted video of these men in their own words, describing their antipathy toward the cops and the state in general:
This is a video of Brandon Caserta, one of the ringleaders of the group of men arrested for a plot where the group planned to kidnap Governor Gretchen Whitmer. Caserta has an anarchist flag behind him and in YouTube videos trashes police. He’s not a Republican, he’s an anarchist. pic.twitter.com/J1vE2qGYL7

"By you participating in the government, you’re participating in slavery dude for everyone else."
He says voting for anyone "is admitting that you believe in the legitimacy of authority which means you believe in the legitimacy of slavery."
Brandon Caserta is an anarchist. pic.twitter.com/8ypXeAP4kH

Tried to get as many videos as I could recorded from Brandon Caserta’s YouTube but in a shock to no one his page has been deleted by so that people can’t see the truth about his ideology. He’s an anarchist, not a Republican and says all politicians are participating in slavery.

I was able to get video of another men arrested in the plot to kidnap Gov. Gretchen Whitmer. This guy, Pete Musico, says races shouldn’t be fighting each other, we’re all the same, government is the real enemy and he attacks police just like Brandon Caserta. Similar ideology. pic.twitter.com/eRQ77p4NMl

Left-wing journalist Michael Tracey noted in Twitter posts that this situation has all the makings of a federal entrapment plot designed to justify the FBI’s existence and demonize their political opposition:
FBI pulls entrapment schemes constantly with a wide range of targets, from mentally unstable “radical Muslim” teenagers to purported right-wing militia groups. You may want to familiarize yourself with these tactics

The Intercept has reported on how the FBI has used these tactics for many years, targeting hapless dupes in order to claim to the unsuspecting public that they are vanquishing terrorism when it’s all really just a sham to justify their massive budgets:
The FBI and major media outlets yesterday trumpeted the agency’s latest counterterrorism triumph: the arrest of three Brooklyn men, ages 19 to 30, on charges of conspiring to travel to Syria to fight for ISIS (photo of joint FBI/NYPD press conference, above). As my colleague Murtaza Hussain ably documents, “it appears that none of the three men was in any condition to travel or support the Islamic State, without help from the FBI informant.” One of the frightening terrorist villains told the FBI informant that, beyond having no money, he had encountered a significant problem in following through on the FBI’s plot: his mom had taken away his passport. Noting the bizarre and unhinged ranting of one of the suspects, Hussain noted on Twitter that this case “sounds like another victory for the FBI over the mentally ill.”
In this regard, this latest arrest appears to be quite similar to the overwhelming majority of terrorism arrests the FBI has proudly touted over the last decade…
For reasons I and many others have repeatedly argued, these cases are unjust in the extreme: a form of pre-emptory prosecution where vulnerable individuals are targeted and manipulated not for any criminal acts they have committed but rather for the bad political views they have expressed. They end up sending young people to prison for decades for “crimes” which even their sentencing judges acknowledge they never would have seriously considered, let alone committed, in the absence of FBI trickery.
The FBI needs to be disbanded, and its operatives brought to justice swiftly and publicly, before America can ever be great again.
