Fake News Hacks Re-Tool ‘Russian Collusion’ Hoax to Smear Both President Trump and Bernie Sanders
The evil Russian bogeyman is back again, following likely deep state leaks indicating that Russian President Vladimir Putin plans to support President Donald Trump as well as Democrat presidential front-runner Bernie Sanders in 2020.
The Washington Post reported today that Sanders has been briefed about how the evil Rooskies are supporting him:
U.S. officials have told Sen. Bernie Sanders that Russia is attempting to help his presidential campaign as part of an effort to interfere with the Democratic contest, according to people familiar with the matter.
President Trump and lawmakers on Capitol Hill have also been informed about the Russian assistance to the Vermont senator, according to people familiar with the matter, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss sensitive intelligence…
“I don’t care, frankly, who Putin wants to be president,” Sanders said in a statement to The Washington Post. “My message to Putin is clear: Stay out of American elections, and as president I will make sure that you do.”
… Also this week, a senior U.S. intelligence official said Russia had “developed a preference” for Trump in the 2020 campaign — an assessment that infuriated the president. Trump lambasted his acting intelligence director, Joseph Maguire, and DNI staff for sharing that information with lawmakers, believing that Democrats would use it to hurt Trump in the election.
Considering Trump will be the Republican nominee for president and Sanders is the front-runner to win the Democrat nomination to face him, it is hard to conceive how Putin could help both men win office. But that hasn’t stopped the fake news from pushing the hysterics yet again, as they work to foment neo-McCarthyism.

So Russia wants a race between Sanders and Trump. They probably want Tulsi Gabbard as Bernie’s running mate. And no question they will help Moscow Mitch get re-elected. What a monumental mess Trump has made of America! He will let this happen. Putin’s USA. https://t.co/WiNtTOYK4T

So @BernieSanders was told by U.S. government officials that Russia has been working to help him win the Democratic primary, and he said NOTHING publicly??? This is OUTRAGEOUS! How is it any different than what Trump has done?? ????

This should not be a surprise to anyone, is consistent with their enduring strategy & mirrors the analysis of @FPRI #FIE2020 team “Bernie Sanders briefed by U.S. officials that Russia is trying to help his presidential campaign” https://t.co/eO0DocweEE

As I reported in 2016, Russian state media had two candidates they were rooting for: Donald Trump and Bernie Sanders. They were the candidates that, in the Kremlin's view, would 1) create the most chaos in the establishment, thereby weakening the U.S., 2) be friendlier to Russia.

Meanwhile, President Donald Trump refuses to play ball with the fake news media and justify their phony concerns about the Russians.
“I was told a week ago — they said, ‘you know they’re trying to start a rumor,'” Trump said at a “Keep America Great” rally in Las Vegas on Thursday night.
“It’s disinformation — that’s the only thing they’re good at, they’re not good at anything else, the get-nothing, the do-nothing Democrats — that Putin wants to make sure I get elected,” he said.
Trump also threw a little fuel in the fire to create more paranoia within the deranged Dems about the possibility of Bernie being a Russian asset.
“Doesn’t he want to see who the Democrats are gonna be? Wouldn’t he rather have, say, Bernie? ” Trump said.
The Russian hysteria didn’t work the first time they tried it, and it is not likely to work this time around as nobody believes the lies of the fake news, Democrats and deep state anymore.
