FBI: Citizens Stopped Eight Active Shooter Situations

FBI, Facebook

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is out with a new report on active shooter situations in the years 2016 and 2017.

The report notes 50 shootings and eight stopped shootings — four of these were stopped by people with guns.

The Waffle House hero James Shaw Jr. did not use a gun, which seemed to embolden gun-control proponents who criticized President Donald Trump for not meeting with Shaw. Trump had already reached out to Shaw and the two spoke.

These are FBI numbers, and other independent reports might show different numbers, but here is the FBI acknowledging four active shooter scenarios stopped by armed civilians. Here’s the FBI report.
