FDA Accepts Pfizer Application to Give Three Doses of COVID-19 Vaxx to 6-Month-Old Children

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has accepted Pfizer’s application to roll out the COVID-19 jab to children as young as six months old.
The FDA announced on Wednesday that they accepted Pfizer’s application to give three doses of the COVID-19 vaccine to children aged six months to 5 years old.
“Pfizer and BioNTech completed a rolling application to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for emergency use authorization (EUA) of the 3-µg [microgram] dose of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine for children 6 months through 4 years of age (also referred to as 6 months to under 5 years of age) on June 1, 2022,” the company said in a statement.
Even though the FDA has accepted Pfizer’s application, that is no guarantee that they will inevitably approve Pfizer’s request and approve three doses of the experimental vaxx into infants.
“We recognize parents are anxious to have their young children vaccinated against COVID-19 and while the FDA cannot predict how long its evaluation of the data and information will take, we will review any EUA request we receive as quickly as possible using a science-based approach,” the agency stated.

“We believe mRNA-1273 will be able to safely protect these children against SARS-CoV-2, which is so important in our continued fight against COVID-19, and will be especially welcomed by parents and caregivers,” Stéphane Bancel, chief executive officer of Moderna, said in a press release.
“We like to see anything above 1,000 units, and what we, in fact, saw here are levels somewhere between 1,400 and 1,800 units,” Dr. Paul Burton, chief medical officer of Moderna, said on Wednesday. “So that’s extremely reassuring.”
Pfizer-BioNTech claimed that testing for their COVID-19 jab in children “demonstrated a strong immune response in this age group following a booster dose of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine with no new safety signals,” according to their press release.”
