FINAL BETRAYAL: Mitt Romney Pushes Unconstitutional Impeachment Trial of Private Citizen Trump

Mitt Romney endorsed a bogus impeachment trial of ex-President Donald Trump in the Senate in an appearance on Fox News Sunday, dismissing constitutional and legal questions about the charade and demanding an impeachment be railroaded through the chamber.

In vindictive fashion, Romney claimed that carrying out with sham impeachment proceedings was necessary for “unity.”

And, you know, if we’re going to have unity in our country, I think it’s important to recognize the need for accountability, for truth and justice.

The Senate trial of an ex-President that Romney desires isn’t even legal. The constitutional impeachment process is designed for a sitting President, not a former one who has since left the office. Supreme Court Justice John Roberts is reportedly refusing to preside over the Senate proceedings, citing constitutional language that designates the Chief Justice as the presiding judge for the trial of a President, not a private citizen. Democrats to prevent President Trump from running for office again, an anti-Democratic plot the establishment Republican Senator is keen to sign off on.

Romney is said to be furious over President Trump’s reorientation of the Republican Party, transforming the GOP from an affluent pro-corporate globalist party to an America First party. Many Republicans still refuse to bend the knee to a populist vision, hanging onto the stale politics of times past.

Romney proposed that the GOP coronate several uninspiring establishment figures as new party leaders, including Charlie Baker, Larry Hogan, Marco Rubio and Ben Sasse. Emboldened by the second impeachment hoax, Romney seeks to restore establishment control of the Republican Party.
