Florida Democrat Andrew Gillum Employed Notorious Police Impersonator and Sex Offender Jeremy DeWitte as Security

Newly published evidence in criminal proceedings against serial police impersonator Jeremy DeWitte reveals that disgraced Florida Democrat Andrew Gillum employed DeWitte during his 2018 gubernatorial campaign.

DeWitte, who is set to plead guilty in a plea arrangement stemming from four police impersonation arrests since 2019 this month, utilized his pseudo-police security company, ‘Metro State Services,’ to act in the capacity of law enforcement and direct motorists to make way for Gillum’s vehicle and campaign bus.

DeWitte has never been police officer, and is ineligible to even own a firearm as a convicted felon and sex offender. The Florida man was first convicted for impersonating a police officer in 2001 at the age of 18, later spending time in prison for a 2005 conviction of lewd and lascivious battery against a minor between the ages of 12 and 15.

YouTuber Police Tube published body cam footage of DeWitte escorting Gillum’s campaign bus in 2018 or 2017, released as state evidence through ongoing criminal proceedings related to DeWitte’s serial impersonation of law enforcement.

DeWitte flagrantly breaks Florida traffic laws during the ‘security’ escort, a practice he’s well known for throughout southern Florida- normally in the capacity of conducting funeral escorts. He illegally directs traffic in the fashion one might expect of Secret Service agents escorting the president’s limousine, all without any legal or law enforcement powers. DeWitte has long argued that he’s in compliance with Florida laws that allow right of way to funeral escorts in some instances, but there’s no funeral going on in the Gillum footage.

Once considered a rising star in the Democratic Party, Gillum lost the 2018 Florida gubernatorial election to Ron DeSantis. The former Tallahassee mayor and family man would later be found with a male prostitute in a drugged stupor in a meth-littered Miami Beach hotel room.

Big League Politics has reached out to Gillum for comment on his association with DeWitte, who has become something of a public enemy on YouTube after release of bodycam footage revealing the extent of his tyrannical and criminal police impersonation on Florida’s roads and highways. Gillum declined to respond.
