Florida Pastor is Physically Removed From School Board Meeting for Reading Passage From Porn Book at Children’s Library

A Florida pastor was physically removed from a school board after he attempted to read several pornographic passages from a book that was readily available to children.
This pastor was one of roughly 30 parents present at a meeting held on August 28, 2023 of the Indian River County School Board.
Pastor John K. Amanchukwu Sr. started reading from the book entitled 13 Reasons Why by Jay Asher. However, he was only able to get one sentence out before the board shut down his speech.
“As if letting him finger me was going to cure all my problems,” the pastor read from the passage, which spurred one board member to intervene by boldly announcing, “Sir, I’ll stop you there.”
Amanchukwu’s mic was subsequently off and security was summoned as he tried continuing to read.
Per a Fox News report, other disgruntled parents at the meeting were also cut off when they tried reading from other books, which are all available to school children despite their foul content.
Curiously, Governor Ron DeSantis implemented a rule earlier in the 2023 that states parents “shall have the right to read passages from any material that is subject to an objection.”
On top of that, the rule decrees that if parents are barred from doing so then the materials they reject must be immediately removed and no longer be used at the school.
Indian River County School Board member Jacqueline Rosario said to Fox News that she was the only member to vote for a measure to remove the books in 2022 and that until the new rule was instantiated, other board members did not comply with laws with respect to pornographic, obscene, or sexually explicit content and continued having the books available in school libraries.
“The difference now is, HB 1069 has allowed parents to read explicit books at board meetings. And if they get shut down, then the book is immediately removed. This is a good thing,” Rosario highlighted.
“It is the litmus test for acceptable age appropriate and standards driven library books. If you can’t read them at a board meeting, then you can’t have them in our schools. All that is needed now is for a “passage” to be read and the book can be removed immediately,” she added.
Rosario continued by noting that “The superintendent and board members refused to acknowledge the gross content made available to kids until now. Finally, they don’t have a choice. It’s about time the truth be made known. Explicit, sexually graphic, pornographic, and obscene material does not belong in any school.”
Sadly, such scenes are all too common in American schools nationwide. Due to the Left’s takeover of many political and non-political institutions, schools will continue to feature inappropriate content that children can have access to.
That’s what happens when people ignore local and state level politics. If we can’t defend our own backyards from leftist degeneracy, such depraved norms will become a national standard in no time.
The time to fight is now.
