Florida is reporting the lowest amount of coronavirus cases per capita in the nation after Governor Ron DeSantis was widely criticized by agents of the Fake News Mainstream Media for his handling of the virus.

DeSantis’ decision to not tow the lie of forever COVID-19 lockdowns sent the liberal media into a furious frenzy, with the Vanity Fair headline from September of this year referring to Ron DeSantis as the “angel of death.”

Florida reported the lowest amount of new cases in the country per capita, the virus is surging in many states where draconian and unconstitutional lockdown orders issued by Democrat governors largely remain in effect, Fox News reported.

Michigan, a state led by Democrat Governor Gretchen Whitmer, has imposed some of the most brutal restrictions in the nation during the height of the pandemic, even engaging in arresting, politically persecuting, and destroying the livelihoods of small business owners around the state. The state currently leads the nation in daily coronavirus cases per capita in spite of its heavy-handed rule.

“It just shows once again the success of Governor DeSantis’s science based and data based policies,” DeSantis Press Secretary Christina Pushaw told Fox News Digital about the case levels in Florida. “He’s always made decisions based on the data and that continued even during the Delta surge this summer what he realized would help was not mask mandates in school or lockdowns but provide treatment that actually works.”

“He opened the 25 state-supported monoclonal antibody sites and provided that treatment all over the state free of charge to over 150,000 Floridians, saved thousands of lives, and that happened starting in August,” Pushaw added. “Since then our cases are down by over 95% with no restrictions on people’s freedom.”

Pushaw said she “hopes” that tyrant governors such as those in Michigan and Minnesota who are experiencing a surge in cases in spite of their radical policies will “learn from Florida’s experience” and promote treatments that work rather than lockdowns that “we’ve seen [fail] time and time again.”

Governor Ron DeSantis has been making moves in Florida as of late, recently calling a legislative special session in order to sign a “freedom agenda” of bills into law. Provisions of the legislation include the prohibition of vaccine mandates for certain private-sector employees and other COVID-19 related measures.
