On August 17, 2020, former congresswoman Susan Molinari gave a 30-second statement during the Democrat National Convention bashing President Donald Trump and backing Joe Biden’s presidential bid.

“I’ve known Donald Trump for most of my political career,” Molinari said at the start of the video clip.

“So disappointing, and lately so disturbing,” she added.

Molinari boasted about how she knows Biden personally and how she has collaborated with him on women’s’ issues, with particular emphasis on women in business and violence against women.

She said that she’s proud to call Biden a friend and supports him in the 2020 presidential election.

“He’s a really good man and exactly what this nation needs at this time,” she stated.

Ever since she left her congressional spot in 1997 for a stint in the media, Molinari has kept a relatively low profile as far as politics is concerned.

Since leaving politics, she has endorsed Republican presidential candidates such as George W. Bush and Mitt Romney.

Most of her political work since leaving Congress has consisted of consulting and lobbying.

She founded Susan Molinari Strategies LLC, a consulting firm. In addition, she worked previously at Bracewell and Giuliani LLP and was also chair and CEO of the Washington Group.

One Twitter user pointed out Molinari’s background as lobbyist. David Dayen, the Executive Editor of The American Prospect, tweeted “The former Republican Congressmember endorsing Biden, and speaking tonight at the convention, is Susan Molinari, who was Google’s top lobbyist in DC for several years.”

During 2012 to 2018, she was vice president for public policy for Google, where she served as the company’s main lobbyist.

Another user noted that Molinari is currently part of APCO Worldwide’s International Advisory Council (IAC). The user tweeted, “Now she’s at Huawei’s former lobbying firm APCO!”

Molinari joined APCO Worldwide back in October 2019. APCO Worldwide used to work alongside the Chinese tech company Huawei. The two broke ties last year amid pressure from the Trump administration to crack down on the Chinese company due to its alleged ties to the Chinese Communist Party.

Molinari spoke alongside other Republicans such as former Ohio Governor John Kasich and former New Jersey Governor Christine Todd Whitman during the “We The People Putting Country Over Party” segment.

Several establishment Republicans have endorsed Biden. These include former Secretary of State Colin Powell and failed White House communication director Anthony Scaramucci, who only lasted two weeks in the Trump administration.

NO MURDER CHARGES: Fired Detective Brett Hankinson Receives Indictment for Wanton Endangerment, No Officers are Charged for the Death of Breonna Taylor

On September 23, 2020, Jefferson County Judge Annie O’Connell announced that fired detective Brett Hankinson will be indicted on three counts of wanton endangerment for his actions on the night of Breonna Taylor’s death.

Hankison had previously admitted to shooting blindly. Some of those shots were fired into neighboring apartments not into Breonna Taylor’s where her boyfriend had opened fire onto police.

Myles Cosgrove and Jonathan Mattingly, the other two officers involved in a serving a search warrant on the night that Taylor was killed, did not receive any charges.

The city of Louisville was placed under a state of emergency on September 22, when city officials shutdown a significant portion of the city perimeter to traffic. The majority of administrative building and other businesses were boarded up prior to the decision. Louisville has been rocked by riots related to Taylor’s death in March. These riots have been occurring for over 100 days and have resulted in a number of deaths and heated confrontations with law enforcement.

Starting on the night of September 23, there will be a 72-hour curfew in Louisville. The curfew will not apply to people partaking in essential travel, which includes work-related purposes or medical attention. Kentucky National Guard members will be deployed to the city for the purpose of maintaining public order.

Given the indictment doesn’t match the BLM demands of murder charges for all officers involved, such precautionary measures are necessary to quell potential unrest coming from the Left. Since May, radical leftists have taken advantage of controversial police actions to tear up property and cause mayhem across the country. An incident like Taylor’s death is most assuredly being politicized by the Left and will likely fuel further disturbances across the nation.

Conservatives and nationalists should make it a point to promote healthy debate, while establishing a baseline of public security, to ensure that the country does not spiral further out of control in such times of instability.
