Former Texas Right to Life Political Director Charged with Soliciting Child Sex
Former Texas Right to Life political director Luke Bowen has been charged with soliciting sexual activity from a minor.
He has been charged under Texas Penal Code – PENAL § 33.021 § 33.021, Online Solicitation of a Minor, which states the following:
“A person commits an offense if the person, over the Internet, by electronic mail or text message or other electronic message service or system, or through a commercial online service, knowingly solicits a minor to meet another person, including the actor, with the intent that the minor will engage in sexual contact, sexual intercourse, or deviate sexual intercourse with the actor or another person.”
According to Bowen’s LinkedIn page, he served as political director from July 2017 to 2022. Current Revolt reached out to Texas Right to Life, and the organization said Bowen was fired on Aug. 3, the day of his arrest for allegedly soliciting a minor for sexual activity.
Big League Politics has reported on the civil war in the Texas GOP brewing between the entrenched establishment and the right-wing activist base:
“Texas Senator John Cornyn received massive pushback from Republican Party of Texas convention delegates on June 17, 2022.
