Fox News Considers Hiring Brother of Former Influential Obama Admin Official as CEO
As Fox News’ television ratings continue to tank after betraying President Donald Trump and enforcing election fraud, they are looking at doubling down on their recipe for failure.
Fox News is reportedly considering the appointment of David Rhodes as their new CEO. David is the brother of Ben Rhodes, a former influential member of the Obama administration who regularly propagandizes against President Donald Trump and his supporters on social media.
Rhode is rumored to be a replacement option for Fox News CEO Suzanne Scott, who has presided over the network’s precipitous decline in recent months. The job of Fox News President Jay Wallace is also reportedly in danger as the network sinks far below its competitors in the ratings’ column.
Rhodes was formerly the president of CBS until 2019 where he was the youngest network news president in American history. He started working for News UK, the British division of Rupert Murdoch’s News Corp, last year. It is speculated that Rhodes could be hired to bring in left-leaning and younger viewers, completing the network’s complete betrayal of their loyal conservative viewership.
It is also being reported that Murdoch, now 90 years of age, has been reasserting himself in the administration of Fox News. His son, Lachlan, was named heir apparent to Rupert but is badly mismanaging the former juggernaut that had previously dominated the American TV news market for nearly two decades.
According to Meaww, an unnamed Fox News insider said: “Rupert re-taking the reins is a sign of the gross mismanagement to date.”
Big League Politics has reported on the conservative exodus from Fox News after they led the election night chicanery that ultimately robbed Trump of the presidency:
Recent data from Nielsen shows that Fox News finished behind both CNN and MSNBC in ratings to open the month of January.
This is the first time in twenty-one years that that has happened, according to Daily Wire.
Nielsen’s ratings data shows that CNN finished number one among cable news networks with approximately 2.8 million viewers per day from January 4 through January 10, including 4.2 million in primetime.
MSNBC came in second with 2.3 million viewers per day and 3.8 million in primetime. And in third was Fox News with 1.7 million viewers per day and 3.2 million in primetime.
This is tough data for the conservative-leaning network. Over the past couple decades Fox has become accustomed to completely dominating the ratings, oftentimes receiving more viewership than CNN and MSNBC combined. Several factors contribute to the fall of Fox, including but not limited to:
- The death of Roger Ailes in 2017 and subsequent changes in network leadership
- Their disastrous Election Night coverage on November 3
- Donald Trump’s loss to Joe Biden
- An ostensible effort to distance themselves from Trump
- A real or perceived softening of their conservatism in general
- Trump’s public irritation with the network, to the point of telling people to migrate over to Newsmax and One America News Network (OANN)
Fox News brass hates President Trump and his MAGA movement so much that they are killing the golden goose due to their rage. The conservative swamp runs deeper than most could have imagined before Trump’s rise.
