Gasp! Carrie Underwood Committed the Grave Sin of Liking Matt Walsh’s Anti-Mask Mandate Speech on Twitter
Country music icon Carrie Underwood recently liked a video tweet of Matt Walsh’s brief anti-mask mandate speech before the Metro Nashville Public School Board of Education.
Which naturally set off a bunch of cry-baby leftists. Only a couple examples:
Walsh tweeted out his two-minute school board speech last Thursday, and it has received 1.2 million views at the time of publication. The Daily Wire columnist and host of his eponymous podcast was unimpressed at the board’s arguments for why children should be required to wear masks on school grounds.
“I have listened to your arguments and I’ve noticed that they’re missing a few things, namely evidence, data, science, common sense, and basic human decency,” he began. “You presented no facts at all, so let me do that now. COVID poses almost no risk to our kids at all. 4.2 million children have tested positive for COVID, a total of 0.008 percent of them have died.”
Walsh continued by citing CDC estimates that 480 children died from the flu in the 2018-2019 season—more children than the number of those who have died from COVID in 18 months.
“Did anyone on this board suggest at any point that kids wear masks? Did anyone in this room suggest that at any point anyone wear masks for flu, which, again, is more dangerous to kids than COVID? That’s a fact,” he added.

Walsh commented on the Carrie controversy Wednesday afternoon, tweeting sarcastically that “Carrie Underwood liked my video and now the mob is coming for her. She should know better than to like something that they don’t like. This is an unforgivable sin.”
