The LGBTQIA+ community is celebrating after a gay male impregnated his transgender boyfriend.
Let me begin with the standard conservative disclaimer: I don’t much care what people do in their private lives. If these two people are happy, more power to them.
But let’s break this down for a second. Stephen and Wyley met on the gay dating app Grindr, according to a preview of their episode of “Extreme Love,” which was posted to the My Trans Life Facebook page.
Stephen identifies as a gay man. Wyley identifies as a transgender man. Biologically, Stephen is a male and Wyley is a female. While Wyley was transitioning, Stephen and Wyley had sex. Considering that Stephen has a penis and Wyley a vagina, their sex was no different than the sex had by straight couples – and neither was the outcome. Wyley became pregnant.
It is disingenuous to pretend that something miraculous happened here. My Trans Life captioned the video “My Boyfriend is Pregnant With Our Child,” implying that a biological male is pregnant, which would surely be a scientific breakthrough for the ages.
At one point in the video, Wyley says, “I am a man and I am pregnant.”
Wyley might identify as a man, but Wyley is a biological female. I know this because men cannot get pregnant.
Boyfriends Stephen and Wyley met on the gay dating app 'Grindr' – and now one of them is pregnant! This unconventional love story features in the next episode of Extreme Love, airing Friday 4th 10|9c only on WE tv
